🇧🇷South loves the mascot characters of various Japanese cities and most of his plushies consist of them. His favorite are Hikonyan, Funassyi, Barii-san, and Okazaemon (mascots of Hikone, Funabashi, Imabari, and Okazaki City, respectively)

🐈‍⬛️Chifuyu thinks Paradise Kiss is better than Nana and gets into heated arguments on 2ch about it regularly.

👓Future!Hanma doesn't need glasses. The lenses are dummies. He just wears them to look less intimidating (it doesn't work).

🧛‍♀️Baji is really bad at board games. Thinks Monopoly is the dumbest game to ever exist.

⚪️🔴Kakucho gets nipple piercings eventually

⛪️Taiju goes to every single one of Luna and Mana's birthday parties. All the way up until he's an old man and passes. Luna and Mana consider him their father are there holding his hands when he does, surrounded by their own children and his siblings' families.

🥋Wakasa somehow ends up with the most kids in the future, even though he initially wanted 0.

🐅Kazutora keeps getting pestered by the recruiters from Hakkai's agency to start a modeling contract even though he keeps telling them no. Hakkai thinks it's v funny and doesn't stop them lol.

🤸🏼‍♀️Senju loves, loves, loves fast food. Her diet is really unhealthy tbh.

🪡Mitsuya hits it BIG in the fashion industry when he decides to create a fashion line inspired by all the Bōsōzoku uniforms he's seen in his lifetime + his own design with Toman's uniform. Tenjiku, Brahman, Black Dragons, etc. The line combines casual streetwear with Bōsōzoku design elements.

🐉Draken is really, really fucking good at basketball. Like, he coulda gone pro levels of good.

Quick thoughts on 2x04

⚠️There will be manga spoilers⚠️

Backstory for Mitsuya (part 1, we know there will be more, but not in this arc lol)

We learn that Mitsuya is a single mom that works two job, no! That’s Taka, Luna and Mana’s actual mom  a very busy older brother that has to care for his little sisters due to a complicated family situation

Everything like in the manga, too bad for Mana and Luna hair color, I’ve always imagined it lilac like Takashi’s. Such a shame but whatever.

Mitsuya really made an impression on Hakkai, he really saw him as the ideal big brother, the one he would want to have.

I have to say they did an amazing job focusing on Hakkai’s abuse from Taiju.

While it was perfectly clear in the manga as well that Hakkai was terrified by Taiju, we saw it in the facts and by his own admission, in the anime, thanks to the music, the animation, the voice acting it was so much more impactful

Yuzuha, as we know, is the actual MPV of the arc, I love that the ending is dedicated to her. I love her arc and her as well of course. 

Mitsuya thinks he did the right thing, but while she’s grateful to Mitsuya, he doesn’t have the whole picture and he cannot know what is actually going on. Yuzuha words “hopes like that are what cause suffering” always left an impact on me because it’s basically the same thing is often say (quoting I don’t really know well who, but whatever) : the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Mitsuya’s intentions were good and appreciated, but he didn’t know Taiju and the Shiba household situation.

I always appreciated Yuzuha’s mindset and spirit. She was forced to grow up soon due to her mother death’s, his absent father and Taiju’s violence. She is really a good, well rounded character, she’s very dear to me.

And for me, the light of the episode was Koko, my snake-kitten🖤🐈‍⬛🐍 

He was simply perfect, the animators loved him in this episode and Natsuki Hanae perfectly captured his essence.

We see for the first time his money obsession. 

I remember that the first time I read the manga I didn’t pay much attention to that. Koko at the time was a new character, a minor antagonist, I would have never though he would have become one of my favorites lol

Anyway, I appreciate that his money obsession was presented early on and in a such subtle way, at the beginning you don’t really pay attention to it, but then you connect the dots. Wakui did a really good job with the Black Dragon Arc.

 Overall, I’m enjoying the season until now, sure the animation is not the best but not everything can have MAPPA/Ufotable quality. (I hope at least Liden Films employees/free lancers animators have better working conditions :’) )
