The first two pictures were my first time playing on CDJs, my friend Sam was very accepting and taught me how to beatmatch on them. I’d been DJing since 2008 but I’d never had a chance to play on CDJs before because of the cost. I’d been DJing on Traktor and Virtual DJ and before that Ableton Live. I was up on Long Island and I went over to my friend Sam’s to spin. This was in 2015. He was very nonjudgemental and a very good and chill teacher. Beat Matching is a skill that is very hard to master, I’ve still not gotten to the point where I can do it consistently even though I’d had more chances to practice on CDJs. Its very difficult.
