LORENZO BERKSHIRE IS SO COME THRU BY THE WEEKND CODED
“The lyrics express a desire to be a reliable and supportive partner and revolve around the idea of commitment and trying to be there for someone.”
The lyrics include “but baby, let’s face it, I’m not into dating, I haven’t been patient.” They highlight this raw honesty that’s necessary, despite a partner convincing themself of otherwise. It’s as if the delusion is a natural-progression. It takes no convincing. In fact, he’s convincing you to see him for who he really is.
The song repeats “come through”. It’s a commonality amongst fuck boys. His own personal, infamous “U Up?” text. The choice of words seems more intentional though. It’s meant to feel less generic, while still getting a simple goal across. Maybe the straightforwardness is for comfort.
“My motives are basic… these hearts I’ve been breaking. And these girls I’ve been tasting don’t ever get naked.” He once more shows how impatient he can be, and how goal-oriented he is. Whether or not the goal is destructive.
He’s simple minded and single-goaled. He expresses wanting to be a reliable partner, but when you fall for the charm, you do his work for him. He can’t even share the honesty he feels he owes you; to progress the relationship. You’ve deluded yourself with the boyish smiles and cheeky grins.
“No. You don’t get it I’m trying to tell you I’m not a good person and you’re laughing it off. Look at me.” Lorenzo’s words are short. He’s not being his usual self. His tone is different. He’s cupping your cheeks, eyes boring into your own.
“What are you talking about Enzo?” You giggle, holding his cold hands to your face.
“I’m trying to tell you the kind of person I really am and you won’t fucking listen.” He’s practically seething.
“You’re kidding right?” You’re laughing through your sentences, not understanding the intensity your golden boy is displaying at the moment.
“Fine. I care about you and I wanted you to know. But you want this right? You want me for everything right now, and you won’t turn around and think you realized I’m no good on your own?” He asked with this tone laced with disappointment. He saw the pattern.
Every time he really liked a girl, she was in the same haze as the rest. Unable to recognize him and his patterns and help him no matter how badly he wanted her to be the one to do it.
“Of course. I want you for everything baby. Come here.” You drawled, voice laced full of lust. Pulling him into you by his belt.
“I hope you know what you’re doing baby.” He chuckled lowly. Leaning down to place a deep, slow kiss on your lips.
Past that point, he didn’t care if change came from within or whatever that bullshit saying is. He warned ya’.
A/N: bye. i love when theyre no good and they know it.
