8. What is your favourite piece that you have done?

I answered this one here, but I’ll share another piece of art I love anyway! I’ve always loved the look on his face in that one.

10. What do you like most about your art?

I love how expressive my art has become! I think that’s one of the things I’m the most pleased with and fond of. It’s either that or the colours I pick for shading things.

14. What do you like drawing the most?

Also answered in the above link, but you know what I like drawing more than those things I said yesterday? I like drawing things that make people smile or throw bricks at my head. These are good things. The emotional response.

22. List at least one of your “artspirations.”

Kaori Ozaki, Shirano, the artwork in older games like Shining Force 2, Lunar: Eternal Blue, Salvador Dali, Mr Dressup, and the millions of art work I see everyday on Tumblr and Twitter haha ALSO MY MOTHER.

When did you get into art?

When I was really young. I can’t even remember what age? My mom had these how to draw cartoon books that she bought when she was younger, and my sister and I would spend a lot of time looking through them and drawing things out of them. We’d watch a lot of Mr. Dressup too! My mom and Mr. Dressup were my biggest inspirations towards drawing!

2. What defines your artistic style?

Hmmm! Tough questions, but I hope that it’s something like bold shapes and bold colours! Or maybe the definition of my art style is “dumb nerd dudes in glasses” haha (What do you guys think defines my style? o3o??)

17. What would you absolutely refuse to draw?

Man, I would normally answer this question with ‘dogs,’ but just recently (not posted yet) I drew some rather nice looking dogs!! So I guess I’ll just fall back on mechs and “”naughty bits.””

24. Do you have a shameful art past? (recolour sprite comics, tracing art, etc.)

I used to trace over anime character artwork to design my characters. (Like I’d trace the pose and stuff) I’d never post them anywhere (heck, I didn’t post stuff online at all when I was doing that xD It was a long time ago.) But, you know what! I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with doing that. it’s a nice way to learn! As long as you aren’t going to claim that you drew it all on your own, as long as you’re honest about it, as long as you don’t post it online anywhere - it’s just another part of the learning experience.

Maybe it’s more shameful how many coupons I draw on at work. heh

2. What art-related sites have you ever signed up for?

The first one was Deviant Art, warning - I never use it anymore. I keep trying to reboot it, but the place just brings back unwanted memories for me. I’ve also got a Pixiv account! I don’t post there often either, but it’s a thing. (I like Pixiv’s tagging system; it’s much better than DA’s ... categories. To heck with categories on DA, I never know what I’m doing.) Tumblr, which isn’t REALLY an art-related site specifically, but it is for me and I signed up for it to replace DA. Also my twitter, but I’d argue I rant more there than post any art.

I had a tegaki-E account, but I forget what it was, and I used to try different oekaki boards years ago. I couldn’t even tell you what they were for, probably Shaman King. heh

There’s Patreon too, which I use for art, and Society6 is art related as well. Almost forgot those two.

Does GameDev count as an art? If so, then RMN and RMW as well. In the past there was uhhh I forget the name, another I forget, a few other forums that I used primarily to interact with other artists of all mediums related to gamedev. Dinoctopus, which I forgot about pretty much.... this one was more aimed at art than gamedev (just lots of gamedev people around), and another that I think is dead, are most recent.

BASICALLY LOTS!?? I like interacting with other artists.

8. What is your favourite piece that you have done?

This changes all the time, but it’s been this one for a while (hence the entire theme built around it) Give me another month and my opinion will likely change. (Runner Up)

14. What do you like drawing the most?

Anything where I get to play with colour. Characters with long or interesting hair. Cute clothes. Birds. Glasses.

Also Jin Kisaragi. As evident by my history as an artist.

3. Who did you play with as a kid? I’m going to guess this is who I played games with as a kid? In that case, mostly my sister! But also my mom and dad as well. (I will NEVER forget the level you built in quake dad… where you set your own spawn point right near the best guns :< ) But my sister and I played games together the most! Miss playing games with my lil’sis.

5. Ever use cheat codes?All the time xD Usually just to joke around though; I’d try to play the game once through without cheating. The debug modes genesis games had tended to be too much fun to ignore. The round of FFT I played that I gamesharked to have 1action = level up was hilarious too. I kinda miss being able to input codes on a title screens... they should bring back cheat codes if they haven’t already.

30. How many consoles do you own? I count 9 consoles that I own personally and are in our apartment. PS3, PS4, PSP, PSvita, 2 DSs, 3DS, gameboy colour, Wii. I also have my sister’s GBA here for some reason. I also have a PS2 at my parent’s hone. (consoles at home that are in part mine and in part my sisters include Genesis, Gamegear, and 2 PSones)
