I love MKX because it just proved to us what we were electing to ignore which is that Kuai Liang as Subzero is a soft old man who just wanted to relax alone on his mountain and be helpful where he can. Yea he’s a built like a brick house and he’s a trained assassin but he also likes to drink tea and give helpful proverbs.

Subzero learned quickly not to pester what was wrong. Instead he often suggest activities that may help calm you.
If all is turned down, he’ll pick you up and carry you off to your bedroom, letting you lie down and rest.
Other times, he will bring you hot tea or cocoa , even coffee if you wish. He prepares them himself so that’s it’s exactly the way you prefer.
A few times, he’s dedicated himself to making small ice-sculptured to entertain you.
Despite the lack of ice-skates, subzero loves taking you down to the frozen river. He wont let you fall, catching you every time, but even on occasion, he’ll be caught off balance and fall with you on top of him.
If the embarrassing slip-up doesn’t get a laugh out of you, he hopes he can turn the situation into a more romantic one.
