Mason had no idea why he tried putting the hedgehog back inside the cage Trixie brought him in. Every time he did, it was only moments before he was letting the little guy back out again. He’d been keeping a visual on Lady as well to make sure she hadn’t ended up wandering about on the floor, but he couldn’t help giving his newest pet a little more attention that evening. It was important to him that he thank the person who gave him the hedgehog though, so he scanned the room for Trixie until he found her. It had taken him a moment, thanks to her new haircut and the Beaubatons hat fitted atop her head but he spotted her and wove his way through the guests, thanking them for coming here and there on the way. “Hey, Trixie!” he said once he was close and then he grinned. “You have to tell me if giving an exotic pet is a British custom my mom never told me to anticipate.”

Mason tried cuddling both of his pets to his body but Lady wasn’t having it and kept trying to wriggle away from him and his new hedgehog only just fit in the palm of his hand. He looked about for his moms but they were clear across the room, conversing with Kiara’s parents and snacking on some of the appetizers. Closer by was Henna, so Mason made his way over to her and asked, “Hey, Crimson! Wanna do me a solid and hold Lady for a moment? She’s being all jealous and I don’t want her getting stepped on.”
