Fun fact in my fic drifter days Stan calls himself a freak and post portal Ford (with an alias) immediately tells him not to say that and for a second they just kind of stare at each other awkwardly before drifter days Stan laughs and brushes it off and Old Ford is conflicted on whether to pursue it and risk outing his secret or just let Stan keep saying crappy things about himself.

And I haven’t decided how he’s going to react yet either, so we’ll find out at about the same time.

Parent Trap AU where Stan and Ford meet at summer camp, each having lived with a different parent.

Except in this one, the parents are Ma Pines and some random guy. When Stan and Ford switch places (Stan had started with Ma Pines, Ford lived with Dad Pines) and Ford went to Ma’s, there was some guy hanging around trying to marry her for her money. Filbrick.

Through a series of wacky events, everybody ends up back in New Jersey to undo the switch. Cue Ma and Dad Pines starting to fall in love (kind of) again. Filbrick gets insanely jealous and insists on Ma stop seeing them at once. 

Ma agrees to go on the yearly camping trip she and Stan do, but now bringing along Ford and Filbrick. The young twins conspire to make him look like a fool all weekend, and it’s awesome. Ma finally kicks him to the curb when she realizes he tried threatening her babies. 

Ma and random guy Dad Pines reunite and fall in actual love, and Stan and Ford discover what it’s really like being twins after not knowing the other existed for the first twelve or so years. 

They’re their own people with interests and lives and friends but now they’re brothers and it’s all good.

I was looking over something I’d written for my timestuck (uncle) au and it was from Stanley’s perspective and I know exactly what scene I’m referring to when I wrote it but...it just read as so much sadder to me in retrospect because at that point in the story he has no idea about why he’s being saved, he just suddenly isn’t getting beaten up and he’s thinking a lot of things (mostly about p a i n) but I know who’s tending to those wounds, and Stan doesn’t.

Idk, it was a dramatic moment for me looking at Stan’s point of view and trying to make it more accurate.

Actually started Iliana Ghemor/Amon Marritza ficlet tonight, and let me tell you. It is a blast to write for, so far.
