i remembered seeing a post in the tag talking about how weiner butchered ginsberg's storyline and how they didn't show the meatier juicier parts of the characterisation but like.
I don't know if it's just me but all the subtext of being gay in the 60s-70s, understanding yourself as disordered and your instincts and quite literally diseased (plus the added depth of being a jew othering him and having him be seen as less masculine etc etc) and then having the psychosis just to stir things up like. Personally I do think none of those things need to be said out loud or explained at length and while I would have enjoyed more Ginsberg in my Ginsberg show I think like.
I don't know. I think the subtleties are what makes the show so good. You do get so much more out of it by understanding the context. Everyone is having several conversations at the same time. Everyone is so many people.
