and i kept having this like. because i want to write sex fic i kept thinking of nuala and alistairs future relationship as sexual but honestly they're not. that's not. they are never! she's autistic! he's. got problems! also he ruined her life and she ruined his <3

also one of my biggest annoyances with da fandom ali*tair portrayal is the pointy half elf ears... I do understand the reason people enjoy it and enjoy drawing him like that but like. It is an important part of the lore and of the characterisation of this dude that he's the bastard kid of an elf and a human like.

The fact that he does not look like an elf and yet is part elf and yet is forced to break up with the elf protag is you don't take very specific steps to explain to him that hey, you're being kind of naive by thinking anyone cares about this marriage bullshit. you are the king you can do what you want. This adds depth to the narrative that wouldn't be there if he had the pointy ears........
