Okay. So, maybe his squad was right. Maaaaybe Yuichiro was a bit of an idiot. But at least he was a good kind of idiot, right?
Sure. Sure, let’s keep believing that.
Anyway, there he was, in Virbank Complex, blocked from his objective by two Team Plasma grunts, and separated from the rest of his team. Putting his hands, as well as his Doublade, up in front of him defensively, Yuu attempted to vie for his innocence. “No, no, listen, I’m not going to do anything bad! I’m just trying to get through here, no need to make this difficult!”
“Yeah, well, buddy, you’re gonna have to leave. This place is off-limits.” The Plasma grunt glared at Yuichiro, and pointed back the way he’d come.
“Yeah, well, I don’t care!” Without warning, Yuu kicked the legs out from under both Plasma grunts, left them sprawled out on the ground, and continued on, ignoring the fact that his squad had been stopped somewhere far behind.
Once inside the power plant, Yuu found himself surprisingly unopposed. There were seemingly no guards at all, and the place was eerily quiet. Okay, he thought, I knew these jerks were stupid, but I didn’t think they were this stupid. He made his way to the back of the plant, where he heard voices coming from behind a door. Finally, somebody’s actually in this place!
Slamming the door open, holding his Doublade up victoriously, Yuichiro shouted, “Hey, Plasma jerks! Guess what? Today’s your lucky day, ‘cause—”
Three people turned their gazes toward him. Two seemingly higher-ranked Plasma grunts, and...someone who was awfully familiar. Yuichiro stood still, eyes wide.
“...Mika?”
