there really aren’t many people seungcheol can go to for help with his... problem. he really wishes he had the help from another werewolf but he doesn’t know any, and quite frankly he’s terrified of learning anything more about himself. denial is something that still lingers in his mind, unfortunately.
atleast he has someone, he supposes. granted they are human, and seungcheol is terrified of hurting him, but his need to sink his teeth into something is too much to ignore and chewing gum isn’t working for him anymore. he needs help.
the doorbell rings loud in his ears, and he shoots off his little, worn couch to hurry up and answer it. he would reach out to grab ten but as it is he’s too afraid to touch the younger, instead moving out of the way. “did you bring anything? my teeth ache and gum isn’t enough anymore. i’d rather not give myself splinters with pencils either...”
Leaning against a wall just outside a rather noisy club, the hunter popped candy into his mouth as he scrolled through news stories on his phone. He was trying to seem as normal as possible, trying not to draw any attention to himself. The last thing he needed was for the vampire across the street to notice him, and even worse, realize that he’d been tailing him for a good five hours now. Baekhyun was actually going to call it a night, his exhaustion wearing on him but that thought immediately disappeared when someone walked up to the monster he was watching so carefully.
Another vampire? No, he didn’t seem like one of them at all. His stance was all wrong, less of a predator and more of an unknowing prey. The hunter tried to keep his cool, surely the human would walk away soon, right? Jaw clenching, Baekhyun couldn’t ignore the look the vampire was giving the newly arrived human. As much as he wanted to jab a stake in the bastard, getting the idiot out of danger was the most important thing.
Pushing off the wall Baekhyun put his phone in his pocket, putting the brightest smile on his face he could muster as he made his way over to the human. Glancing at the Vampire,,Baekhyun bowed his head slightly while his arm snaked around the human’s shoulders.
“Ah, sorry. Excuse me, but I really have to take my friend away for now. We’re supposed to be meeting some other friends across town, and we can’t keep them waiting. Sorry, you’ll have to catch up another time.” Without even giving either one of them a chance to speak, the hunter started moving, pulling the human along with him. He didn’t say anything, just wanting to get away as soon as possible. Moving down another street to get out of sight, once they were safe enough the hunter pulled away from the other, letting out a long sigh.
“Sorry about that. It’s just that guy wasn’t good news. I don’t know how well you know him, but if you were smart you wouldn’t go anywhere near him again."
if there was one thing she regrets, it’s having to start college a year later than everyone else. of course there’s nothing wrong with being a little older than everyone else sometimes. people had their circumstances and sunmi had hers. but it always felt weird to be years older than everyone else around her.
of course age didn’t mean anything when it came to making friends. and for some, age didn’t mean anything when eager for something. sunmi learned that early on and made a note to not go out with classmates to get drunk after. she may be able to talk to them like they were the same year but they were still as immature as anyone their age would be when drunk.
she was walking off campus for the day. she only had some time to get home and change before work. a nice coffee would keep her awake for the few hours she had to work before parents came to pick up their kids. she needed to be on her toes for the little demons.
thankfully the line wasn’t too long and the cafe seemed closer to moderate than overcrowded. it shouldn’t take long for the young female wolf to reach the front of the line.
“Well, I like you. You’re nice, and you’re funny, and you don’t smoke. Yeah, okay, werewolf, but that’s not all the time.”

Minwoo couldn’t stop his laughter, sure he was normally a pretty giggly guy, but the human’s words were almost too much for him. He’d always been told not to tell any humans about what he was, but since he was here without a pack, and too afraid to get anywhere near another wolf here, humans were the only friends he could really make.
And he really did not regret telling this one about himself.
“Well I’m glad you like me, because I really like you too! I’m just glad that you finally know because I got really tired of hiding it from everyone.” He said, letting out a whine as he shifted, moving his head so it rested against the other’s shoulder. Hey, he was a lone wolf, he needed all the affection he could get.
“You weren’t exactly good at hiding it either, you know.” Ten said, letting out a laugh as he got the message and lifted a hand to rest on the wolf’s head.
Looking up, Minwoo was careful not to move away from the other’s touch in fear that the human would stop the friendly contact, however Minwoo pouted, cheeks puffing up slightly.
“Hey, I’m good at hiding things, you know. The best, actually. I’ll have you know no other human knows what I am. Maybe the problem isn’t me being too obvious, just that you’re too smart for your own good...” Trailing off, the werewolf looked Ten up and down before he burst into another fit of laughter. “Yeah, scratch that. I must just be too obvious.”
Laughing even as he was shoved playfully by the human, Minwoo moved away, hopping up in place impatiently.
“Okay, now that I told you that let’s go to the club. I haven’t gone in two days. TWO! I swear I’m going to die from the lack of affection!” He whined, smiling when the other nodded and started to walk with him.
It was great to finally have someone know. He just hoped it wouldn’t get him in trouble later down the road.
the entirety of her world hangs in a very unsteady balance that could simply be swayed by even the touch of a breeze. libra’s scales can tip so easily and jei lives her life caught in an act of tightrope walking across its bars, too careful to even really live. but somehow she’s grown content with this; calculated moves and careful precision to take care not to let herself go mad or seek out the people she doesn’t deserve to see.
one moment, her scale is balanced and the next, all hell breaks loose without a chance to put things right.
he is a boy with eyes that are curious as any other she’s seen, and it sets her on the defensive on his second approach. ( the first, he calls her nahee - then, doppelganger. how close and how far he is from the truth, she thinks. ) jei doesn’t even know the name of the one who dares threaten her sense of balance, to knock her off her feet and destroy the careful precision she lives by daily. she isn’t sure how he knows of her sister in the first place, but there is so much in seven years of disappearance that one cannot really know. that’s something she has to blame herself for. that’s something she cannot blame him for.
but she can blame him for the unsteady rocking of her world spun off its axis; the way her feet stumble on the tightrope of her scales. jei’s lips purse upon his approach and in her mind, it almost looks as if he has something that he wants to say. ( it’s almost like she knows inherently what it is. ) her hands lay clenched at her sides as if she’s wearing gauntlets made of steel, readying for war but not wanting it. “ it’s you again.” jei says plainly, eyes guarded. “ i didn’t expect to be seeing you again so soon.”
