John almost dying and sherlock risking everything to save him. Sherlock starting to cry as he leaves john. Sherlocks kink for captain!john. John suddenly realising sherlock loves him desperately right after he's gotten married and it hits him like a thunderbolt. John hugging sherlock tight and getting emotional and then leaving his arm over sherlocks shoulder. Getting drunk together and John lets his hands wander across sherlocks open legs and telling him he doesn't mind. Oh wait this is canon.
Sherlock apparently dying and John mourning him for over two years, pretending to be alright but everyone sees he’s not. John being jealous of women flirting with Sherlock. Sherlock inviting John for dinner to care about him. Sherlock thinking he was John’s life because John was his.
