Inktober2018. #12 The prompt was 'whale'. In the early 1980s, I would cut school and go into downtown Minneapolis to hang out. On Block E on Hennepin Avenue and a few doors down from Shinder's (my main comic store then) was a bar called Moby Dicks. I never frequented this bar. It was tough even by my juvenile delinquent standards. Even when I was old enough to actually be drinking there and not using my fake ID. But I walked by the cartoon whale all the time. A Minneapolis mainstay. Years later I heard that this bar would give an alcoholic a drink in exchange for an AA medallion.
