read the words 'wedding night fic' and started seeing shrimp colors. cannot wait.

I’m workin on it!! it’s more expansive than just a single wedding night though because, as I’ve mentioned, scott might’ve said they were married in episode 1 but he edited out that scene and didn’t openly acknowledge they were married until episode 4. ideally this fic will be finished by the five-year anniversary of third life (20 april 2021). genuinely I’m having such a good time writing it, especially since I haven’t actually written much about them during third life (but if you’re familiar with how I write fh then nothing will be surprising). a not-insignificant percentage of the reason I wanted to rewatch third life was because of this project.

I was scrolling through the posts on your account and noticed you mentioned someone else using your scott-typical gaslighting tag. I'm pretty sure that's my fic! It made me happy to see because Down to the Wire has genuinely become one of my favorite fics of all time. I've already reread it so many times and I probably will again later. I especially love the way you write Scott, as well as his "relationship" with Avid, for lack of a better word. It's actually heavily inspired the way I write him in my fic, and has even given me ideas for future chapters (I hope that's alright). It only has 2 chapters so far but I have at least up to chapter 8 planned out and mostly written. There's just something about the fucked up power dynamics at play that I love. Someone mentioned this in the comments, but Avid not realizing/processing what's going on because he's so caught up in the vampire thing is just. So good. While I would obviously be incredibly excited if you were to write a continuation of some kind, I hope you don't feel pressured to do so by anyone!

obviously I have no say over what anyone does with any of the stuff I post, and I do mention in my ao3 profile that any human-created transformative works inspired by mine are a-okay (remixes, podfics, translations, fanart, what-have-you). my only requests are that people tag me in anything directly inspired by something I make (I want to see it!!), and obviously link the original work as inspiration if it’s like, borrowing plot points or actual lines of dialogue or something.
