anyway i need to be doing several things (not counting dinner which is in the process of cooking itself) and this is none of them but -

talking with a bunch of my best friends from the tail end of Glee fandom tonight - JAZZY, JAN, JAMIE, ROBIN, PAM, and hey STULTI too from earlier today - and I’m so glad we are still friends and talking a year and a half after Glee ended.  (has it really not been any longer than that?  crazy, it feels like forever.)  <3 you guys...

but also thinking how I miss mock and misqueue, who were two of my best friends for a while but whom I haven’t seen around here forever now.  I’m glad we didn’t all scatter to the winds; but I’m sad that some of my best friends did....

seasons change, I guess.  and so it goes.

it well may be that we will never meet again in this lifetime so let me say before we part

so much of me is made from what i learned from you you’ll be with me like a handprint on my heart

and whatever way our stories end i know you have rewritten mine by being my friend....

That is absolutely my favorite thing about it. The characters go through terrible things, but it pulls no punches about how much these events affect them in all sorts of ways, even seasons later. It ends up feeling very compassionate to me.

Yeah, absolutely. The show has gone on forever but it really uses that, and has a long memory. I’ve been rewatching the whole show with A, who hasn’t seen it before, and it’s been amazing to see how they’ve grown and changed.

Hey guys, I created a list of ‘rules’ for the fic prompt blog, and just wanted your input.

I currently have a tumblr, and the name is klainepromptsandfic.  if anyone has anything more inspired, please let me know!

All prompts are welcome, as long as they are Kurt, Blaine and Klaine friendly.  I do think it’ll be okay to have just Kurt or just Blaine fics allowed.

I’ll post prompts on Mondays, probably an AU one and one Canon related one.  I’ll post the fics as soon as I receive them.  People will need to tag with my handle (whatever I settle on) so I can find the fics.  They can also submit, too, if I can figure out how that works.

(Look, I know Friday has always been Klaine day since the LJ days, but tbh, tumblr is a ghost town on the weekend, so why not get things started at the beginning of the week?  I will tag things with Klainefridays, and encourage people to tag their posts as that so KF will continue to get the fics, too!)

I do plan on having an extensive tagging system so people can find the fics easily enough, including having a sidebar with links, and tagging all the posts with the prompts, etc, etc.  

Any writer can write something, I don’t really want to be exclusive.  I’m wondering if I should allow recs that go with the prompts as well--to get people’s old works out there.  Anyone is welcome to put a prompt in the ask!!

Idk if I should keep it one shots or allow WIPs.  Thoughts?

Can you guys keep the original post going? I’d like to make sure the interest is high (though it’s a really good response in the first two hours)

If it continues to be a popular idea, I think I can have everything up and ready for Monday.

Reading through some of the Chris stuff, and a few things come to mind. 

I wonder if Chris will look back on Glee the same way people look back on college, and all the learning experiences there.  

Have read lots of things about Chris seeming more relaxed, etc, etc.  And then the comment about looking back at SBL remembering it was a thing.  And the comment about once upon a time having a chip on his shoulder.  And it’s interesting to me---what growing up will do, going through Glee like it was college, having a serious relationship, just being older and having experiences behind you---it does change you.  Fascinating.  

(I always think about Carson, and how, probably making sense only to me, he had to die so Chris could live.)

Mercedes Jones!

How I feel about this character. I love Mercedes! Tbh, she’s actually a character that’s grown on me throughout the years, and I love her optimism and kindness and her struggle.  Also, she is probably my favorite female vocalist on the show.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Sam!! Idk, I found Samcedes very endearing and sweet in a simpler way than a lot of the rest of the couples on the show.  It was refreshing in that.  But also, I do love that they had a character on the show go at her own pace in relation to sex.  There were some great conversations there that we never get to see on TV.  

My Non-Romantic OTP for this character: Everyone! No, really, while I was thinking about it, Mercedes is one of the few characters who got along with nearly everyone else on the show.  Kurtcedes is probably one of my favorites friendships on the show.  Also really love Mercedes/Rachel and Mercedes/Santana.  

My Unpopular Opinion about this character: I wasn’t a fan of the Trouble Tones storyline.  (oops?)  It just wasn’t a story I found compelling.  *shrugs*

One thing I wish had happened to the character in canon:  I wish they had stopped pegging Mercedes as lazy, especially in comparison to Rachel.  Also, man, you know what would have been hilarious to watch---more shenanigans at the Blaine/Sam/Mercedes townhouse.

This is interesting to me because I tend to think of you as having a very diverse dash wrt opinions!

Huh, interesting. I think... maybe in some ways? I guess I am having more of the "no I think you are wrong" feelings than I usually do? I often go "maybe but I dunno" which isn't quite the same.

It's been monumentally soul destroying this weekend. Mostly my take away is that I should move into a cave by myself.
