Headcanons of Atsushi and Akutagawa liking the same person? If that's even possible... Maybe they're an ability user who's not involved in either organizations?

Atsushi Nakajima

Would have met this individual during a case. They would most likely be a bystander that got caught up in the middle of everything

Atsushi would be the one of the two to become shy around this individual - red cheeks, mumbling, and all

He would be the type that would try and push himself to become the best version of himself around this person

He would never mope nor whine around this person or have any of those ‘but I’m useless’ speeches

But at the same time he becomes a living slapstick comedy skit around this person. Especially when they suddenly surprise Atsushi with their presence

Limbs fly everywhere 

Would be incredibly defensive on the behalf of this person - regardless of what the topic was

“How dare you say that! How would you like it if someone said the same thing to you?”

“But they’re the one wearing a suit over a leotard, Atsushi…”

When he learns that Akutagawa like the same person his world just shatters

There’s now a ‘Protect Atsushi Squad’ joke running within the Armed Detective Agency

Atsushi is also in an incredulous amount of debt for all the damage repairs he has to pay off from Akutagawa just randomly showing up and destroying everything in his apartment

Atsushi gets revenge though - but that costs him even more as Dazai has a fee for coming up with all the ridiculous plans that they end up using on Akutagawa

Atsushi is practically a college student now with the amount of debt he’s racked up

He would have only seen this person once in a street and made a throwaway comment about them

But them his very own brain betrays him and makes him mull over it for extended periods of time - shaking up his entire schedule

If he ever saw them again he would make a beeline straight for them

Like, watch out! This man is a homing missile and his target is Y O U

Would be incredibly forward about the affection he holds towards this person 

Is also the one of the two that has SWAT team levels of defense set up for this person to protect them. His affection for this person is a technical weakness he knows many would want to exploit

Because of this, there’s now a bi-weekly Port Mafia roast that’s done at this person’s house which whatever team protecting them at the moment is invited to

When Akutagawa learns that Atsushi likes the same person, he’s out for blood

Totally picks fights with Atsushi every Saturday at 7PM like the prime time TV antagonist he aspires to be

There’s never a winner to these fights, as Kunikida ends up getting Dazai to call up Mori like the concerned mom he is and Fukuzawa ends up putting them in separate rooms

Despite their differences, both can agree that the person deserves whatever makes them happy and avoid forcing them to be in a situation that they’re uncomfortable with

Akutagawa stills totally baits Atsushi though whenever the person is around - wanting him to pounce on him and make him look like the better person

Both are very territorial - as they sort of reserve different part of Yokohama as theirs that they share with the person. Which, if the other was seen at, would become the grounds for the greatest fight for love on the planet

•He loves spending time with you and sorta acts a bit like his college days but less naive and probably won't give you a silly nickname 

•Dates are also nothing too much out of the ordinary ( mans be broke half the time) but usually prefers to stay at home with you his arms watching TV or something 

•Also he will be really happy with you get along with Trucy and you 2 definitely go to her magic shows 

•When he lost his badge he did get more depressive but thanks to you and the now new addition to the family, Trucy , helped him get through that dark time in his life

•Also hobo Phoenix was definitely a lot more flirtatious during that time compared to his usual self 

•He personally doesn't mind PDA but will probably get nagged by a teasing Maya or a sobbing Larry

•Godot is more of a flirtatious type of partner that keeps to himself most of the time

•If you like coffee , he'd definitely make a special blend just for you but if you don't like it he'd still make your drink of choice 

•He always makes his coffee himself to make sure no one poisons it like a certain redhead did so if he lets you make his coffee take it as a compliment because that means he trusts you a lot

•He is sort of affectionate, more with words than physical touch and is pretty open about it unless you tell him you feel uncomfortable with it he'll stop dw

•He likes to tease you playfully, nothing too bad, he especially likes to fluster you, he just can't help it when you look at him with that embarrassed look but if you are uncomfortable with things he'll stop immediately 

•Simon is also stubborn with things and does stay up late sometimes which you have to literally drag him to bed 

•Simon is a bit stiff when receiving affection but he'll get used to it and actually crave it, spending 7 years in prison being a huge influence

•Dates are also in more quiet and less crowded places to not get bombarded by the press, even though he does enjoy the attention by his fans he does prefer his private time with you 

•He does have a very busy schedule being a prosecutor and famous singer so when he comes back home he's practically worked to the bone, luckily you're there to welcome him every time 

•There are times where Klavier isn't feeling his best self, more specifically during his guitar getting lit on fire and the string of other bad things happening after that and his brother's conviction, he did need some time to himself to cool down before just plopping besides you hug you , burying his face into the crook of your neck , a sigh escaping his lips.

•If you do speak a foreign language he'd love for you to teach some stuff about it and he'll teach you German ( if you don't know it, if you do he'd probably talk more in German on purpose)

Vil hugged and kissed Rook and Epel on the cheek because they along with you, his s/o, came by to actually help rescue them ,he then turns his attention to you and envelops you in a tight hug, tighter than the hugs he gave to his pomefiore friends "I'm especially glad you came,dear" he said, putting a hand on your cheek, he started to kiss every inch of your face before putting your head into his chest " I'm so glad you came, I thought I'd never see you again" he said,savouring this moment with you, holding on to you even tighter as if you'd dissappear if he hadn't.

     Today wasn't one of your best days.Small things kept going downhill, fueling your frustration and when you tried to do something else to distract yourself from said frustration, the smallest inconvenience would leave you in an angry mess. 

     You tried to think of something else but your mind was only focused on the bad things that happened. Why did you say that? Why didn't you know the answer to that question? Why did today have to be like this? 

   You sat at your desk, your notebook opened with only 3 words written on it.You just felt tired. You lay your head down into your arms as you let out frustrated sobs. The world just seemed to be against you for some reason and you hated it more than anything. A certain pink haired psychic happened to be hearing your dark thoughts and it bothered him to no end.As much as he hated to interact with people he couldn't stand seeing people he cared about this upset even if he will never admit it out loud. 

      You knew of his psychic powers but you still jumped out of your seat when you felt a presence in your room.

      Kusuo sat still for a moment not knowing what to do first considering he's not experienced with this sort of thing.He reads into your thoughts to see what you are in need of at the moment.

     If you are in need of some sort of physical contact he'll let you hold his hand, even tell you to squeeze his hand to hopefully ease you of that anger that has been bubbling up in your chest the whole day, don't worry he can take anything you throw at him, he is a powerful psychic after all. 

       If you'd rather not get physical, he'll quietly sit beside you till you calm down a bit.

He'll make sure to have his germanium ring on him so he can hear you clearly when you vent out your feelings. 

      When you are finally calm he'll help you out on homework you may have not understood or just help you distract yourself by maybe playing a couple games.

     Once it's getting late and time for him to leave you tug on the sleeves of his sweater. He turns around looking at you with a raised eyebrow. " Thank you… for everything Kusuo" you managed to say, giving him a small smile. He nodded telling you that you can always come to him when you are in time of need before walking home, with a faint smile painted on his lips.
