Types of Enbies: book genres

History: long flowing dresses, record players, long museum trips, polaroids, intricate hair, thrift stores, huge mugs of tea

Romance: bouquets of flowers, coffee shop dates, warm kisses, that one outfit you love, writes poems, emotional

Mystery: soft brown hair, night owl, waking up at 3am, looks like a cinnamon roll, will kill you, looks young but seems like they're 80

Fantasy: witchcraft, cosplay you put a lot of effort in, dramatic, queer as heck, tattoos, new hair colour every week, cats are the best, spontaneous, indecisive

Graphic novel: covered in paint, messy hair, likes anime and cartoons, cons, bit of a nerd, bleached hair, aimless doodling

Horror: all black outfits, perfect eyeliner, fake fangs, pointy smiles, doesn't trust easily, tired 24/7, a bit reckless

Fanfiction: band t-shirts, pastel hair, extrovert, dancing in the rain, procrastinates, freckles, stays up late every night, very passionate

Sci-fi: loves learning, programming, sarcastic, smart, clever, pointed glances, short curly almost black hair, podcasts

Young adult: crop tops and highwaisted jeans, battered yellow converse, cups of coffee, memes, long wavy hair

a note on submissions

I swear if i ever get to write a TV series/book/comic/whatever I will put in representation for Dyspraxic people. I have literally only ever seen one single representation for this and that person was told to hide their clumsiness, meaning they literally hid away their representation so they won't have to deal woth it in the long run. UGH if I ruled the world thered be some PROPER representation (for other neuropsychiatric diagnoses as well!!!)

You should definitely create something about dyspraxia! Whether it’s a short story, script, comic, novel, etc., we would gladly promote anything (neurodiversity related) that any of our followers create! Unfortunately what tends to happen is that no one will actually create any proper representation unless we do it ourselves. I hope one day someone will be able to use this blog as a resource when creating positive representation.

I noticed there aren't any examples of canon autistic characters in books, so I thought I'd mention that Denise from On the Edge of Gone by Corinne Duyvis is canonically and explicitly autistic.
