“Could you please do Berkut where he teaches summoner how to use a lance? Thanks ^^”

Berkut is normally a very rude and prideful man who tends to not associate himself with those of a lower class than him.
However, as the summoner, you were the one in charge of him, so no mere commoner. He had to admit that he owed you at least some respect in general.
And as much as he tried to respect you, he absolutely could not respect the fact that you could not fend for yourself in battle.
That was something he absolutely had to change.
So one morning, before the sun had even risen, Berkut came into your room and practically pulled you out of bed.
“Get up, Summoner. I need to teach you how to use a lance, so we’re going to spend all day doing just that.”
You definitely objected to this, mainly because of the fact that it was probably four in the morning and you would not be able to focus at all if you didn’t sleep for longer.
Berkut would have none of it, though, and he practically dragged you out of bed and to the training grounds in Askr’s castle.
From there, he showed you how to hold a lance, how to block attacks from various different weapon types, and how to carry one without causing too much strain on your body.
Heck, he even showed you how to use a lance while riding a horse. His horse, of course.
You had caught on fast, despite your current tired nature. Berkut was quite surprised at this and asked if you had prior training.
You hadn’t. You were just a fast learner, was all.
Eventually after some more lessons in various lance centric topics, Berkut grabbed an extra one and readied himself
It was time to put what you had learned to the test.
Berkut didn’t even try to hold back against you, claiming that he was merely copying what an enemy on the battlefield would do. However, he did make sure to do his best to not kill you in the process of your sparring match. Sure, he was trying to go all out, but he also wasn’t trying to kill you.
I mean, everyone in the Order of Heroes would have his head, and he wouldn’t have been able to live with the guilt anyways.
In the end, Berkut is able to disarm you and get you pinned to the ground.
“If this were a real battle, you’d be dead.”
So you tried again.
And again.
… And again.
The two of you didn’t stop until you won, and at the rate you were going at, it seemed like that wasn’t going to happen.
But it did.
As the sun was starting to set, and your body was feeling the effects of fighting for this long, you decided to play a little dirty. After all, there was nothing stopping someone from doing that in a real battle.
You paused in your fighting and your eyes went wide, causing Berkut to pause with a confused expression before you shouted, “Berkut, behind you!”
He turned, and you took the chance to run forward and hit him with the hilt of your lance. He staggered forward, and by the time he turned around, you had your lance pointed at his throat.
He didn’t look displeased. Quite the opposite, actually. Berkut had a grin on his face.
Maybe you’d be able to fend for yourself now.
