hihi! So I want to start off by saying I am transmasc myself. One of my mcs (who is transmasc) Is quite shy and nervous a lot of the time. (he isn't innocent/babied , and there is reasoning behind it) Would this come off as stereotyping as the ""shy transmasc person"" ? Again he isn't treated like a baby , but I dont want to promote any stereotypes by accident so i wanted to make sure.

I’m throwing this one out to the followers because as a shy transmasc dude myself I feel like me having more in common with the character isn’t going to help anything. Also the fact that I’ve never seen this stereotype in the media I consume so I don’t view it as a stereotype. I wanna say it’s fine because people are shy, trans people can be shy, and you’re stating he’s not treated as innocent and he’s not going to be babied.

But yeah, if anyone else has thoughts on this, feel free to respond!

I have a couple of literary recs!! For Manga there's Keito Gaku's "Boys Run the Riot" (trans masc! biggest recc here i love it sm), Oto Toda's anthology series "To Strip the Flesh" (trans masc), and Mone Sorai's "our not so lonely planet travel guide" (mlm) !! For novels: "The Starless Sea" by Erin Morgenstern (mlm focused) "The Binding" by Bridget Collins (mlm), "To the Warm Horizon" by Jin-Young Choi (wlw)...I'm running out of space but I hope these help!
