hi! i’m finley prayer, one of the bards of the kingdom, pearly webcap! ( though i do not associate myself with the king )
i act, sing, dance, and play the piano, guitar, lyre, and viol. i love scrapbooking and exploring the woods with my friend rolen ( who you can also talk to here through me! :)) )
currently residing: blookit tavern ( yes, the food is poisonous, but the current owner is a friend of mine )

some lore:
finley grew up in a small town not even in the kingdom of the peary webcap ( which is mostly a mushroom forest ), but when he was young he heard a song calling for him in the woods, and the next day he left the village to join a group of traveling bards ( he was about 8. his dads were trying to train him to be a wizard but he never got into it. ) he returned after gaining music and theatre experience at about 13, and when he was 14, met a girl named april, and fell in love. ( it was a whole orpheus and eurydice situation ) they ended up dating at 16, but in early june, not before finley’s 17th birthday, a dragon and enemy kingdom ended up attacking the village, and it killed finleys dads and april. finley lost his arm after he died holding april. however, april was a mage and used her final powers to give finley a magic arm so that he could still continue his work in performance. the moment april died, he heard the song again. he ran away and eventually ended up at the blookit, where lyle henry, the current owner, took him under his wing. finley started performing for him in thanks for being able to live there. about six months into living at the blookit, a new person came to live there with finley, a druid named rolen ( that’s my friend’s guy ). i’m not going to go into rolens lore but just know he symbolizes religious trauma. rolen is a lot colder than finley, but they ended up becoming friends anyway. they love exploring the forest together. after the campaign ( so not yet ) they end up getting into a qpr after much struggle, because finley was afraid to love again after april passed, and rolen is a lot less physical and doesn’t show love like finley does. but yay they’re okok eventually.

✨ he probably gets nightmares from the night his family + april was killed all the time so he doesn’t sleep some nights
✨ he also is very physical but hasn’t been shown affection since april died, so like two years
^on that note he’s probably scared to be touchy with rolen because (1) rolen is kinda more reserved and finley dorsnt want to make him uncomfortable (2) he doesn’t want to lose rolen like he did april
✨ his birthday is june 16
✨ he works from 5pm — midnight, so hes usually exhausted.
✨ mornings usually consist of sleeping, practicing, and hanging out with rolen
✨ he fills up notebooks a week trying to write songs
^ but he also takes care of nicer scrapbooks that he gets from forest trips
✨he acts, sings, and dances and plays the piano, violin, guitar, and lyre
✨he bonds quickly with kris ( one of the guys in the campaign )
