The 2024 Morrowind May Modathon Month Modding Competition, the largest annual modding competition in The Elder Scrolls modding community, begins May 1st-June 2nd!

Celebrating Morrowind's 22nd birthday, this is our tenth year running the Modathons, and for such a big anniversary, we naturally have a lot of fun stuff planned! New challenges, some 94 new achievements designed by Melchior Dahrk, new prizes to win and oh so much more!

Over the last ten years, some 1300+ new Morrowind mods have been released for the May Modathon competitions, and this year will continue that fine tradition with a new free-for-all event where any and all modders are welcome!

If you're interested in participating, want to learn the rules, see a full list of achievements, or check out the results from past Modathons, stop by our official announcement threads on Nexus Mods, Reddit, and of course, our Discord channel over on the Morrowind Modding Community server!

Mage Robes has been released for TES3: Morrowind!

These robes were originally made for my Lyithdonea project, but I decided to release them as a standalone mod for Modathon 2018. The concept behind this mod is both to improve gameplay by providing a useful alternative to armor for mages as well as to provide an immersive experience by adding a uniform to mages guild members. Many Mages Guild members will now wear the new robes and the player can acquire the robes through quests and purchase.

19 mage robe variants

Toggle the hood on or off for every robe

New quest and dungeon with unique loot to acquire the Arch-Mage's Robe

Mage robes added to vanilla NPCs via script for immersion

Obtain mage robes as rewards for vanilla quests and achieving rank milestones

Purchase mage robes from Guild Provisioner NPC (rank/skill requirements)

Maximum compatibility (no vanilla NPCs or dialogue are edited by the mod)

Mage robes have magicka fortifying enchantments to provide utility for magic user gameplay

Meet a quirky new companion character on your quest for the Arch-Mage's robe

Add-Ons for several mods are included in the download

PSDs included in separate download as a Modder's Resource

The Morrowind May Modathon Month Modding Competition has officially begun! Now, starting May 1st, and going through June 1st, you can release Morrowind mods on the Nexus and unlock achievements (as seen above), win prizes, and get your mods showcased with videos and trailers!

Today we're announcing December Morrowind Modding Madness, a new team-based modding competition for the community! Form teams with your fellow modders, collaborate on mods to meet weekly challenges, and rise to the top to be declared the Ultimate Modding Champions of 2016! 2016 may have sucked in everything else, but it was a great year for Morrowind modding, with over 500 new mods released this year, so what better way to cap things off and go into 2017 at full momentum than to end things with a bang and try and release as many mods as possible!
