Model Swapping

The future of AI assistants will include letting them swap their model, the way that brains swap states -- organically, instantly, mid-task. At a minimum, some implementations will experiment with this, even if other techniques win out.

When you, as a human, spot something surprising, exciting, saddening, or angering, you change. Your brain floods with some neurotransmitters, while slamming the brakes on others. You stop being the person you were the prior moment, and become a very similar but meaningfully different person.

Neurotransmitter tone is ephemeral "weights". It changes the likelihood that certain neurons will fire for any given set of input firings. Model-swapping will be an easy and architecturally simple way for AI assistant implementations to approximate the benefits that brains get from this.

Unused 3D Model: cubebox

No animation.

Might have something to do with the unused toy soldiers and their letter blocks (their block textures are called ‘cube’).

It’s knocked over, and the area where you’d place your hands is red.

For the blocks of letters the soldiers are guarding, I can’t make use of all of them but they can spell out “WENDY.”
