Me in English class: Symbolism is stupid and I hate trying to figure it out

Me reading a doctor who short story: As you can see by the similarities between this line of the Doctors and this line from the Bible the author is trying to draw similarities between the doctor and God. This could be read as a commentary on who the Doctor is and the strife of his burden. And if you tie it in to this one other short story by Mark Twain you begin to see more similarities. This can also be read as commentary on God. Is this what he might have felt when creating the world? In this essay I will-
