MODEL MOVERS - BONES & DJAARON With NY Fashion Week: Mens about to jump of, I thought I’d highlight some brothers who’ve made waves in the worlds of dance and modeling. —— Two other Forefathers of Flex/Bonebreaking who have swapped joints with the fashion industry (quite literally on one side of the equation) are Stephen “Bones” Hill and Aaron “DJAaron” Lewis. Both these fam are Renaissance men with thriving musical careers and modeling gigs beyond their dance appearances. To name drop a few: Tommy Hilfiger, Hood by Air, Balmain H&M, Public School NYC, Diesel, and they are a favorite of Nike having repped them on several occasions. Here is an edit I mashed up of two bball-centered commercials they’ve shot for Nike, in the brand’s collabo with Public School and for the Nike/Footlocker Sneakeasy store that opened on Wall Street last November. I’m also one of those regular collaborators, having developed numerous graphic work with Bones and the NLS/Zilla Boys. We’ve developed some LoJoFilmWerk for Bones and hope all the logistics fall into place soon to allow us to bring some more dope imagery to you. MODEL MOVERS - MARVIN CITA With NY Fashion Week: Mens about to jump of, I thought I’d highlight some brothers who’ve made waves in the worlds of dance and modeling. —— Marvin Cita is a Parisian model who burst onto the scene last June during Paris Fashion Week under the moniker “Marwin.” He rocked a dope very-in-the-moment look and an ability to execute moving poses that stood out among his peers. I knew I’d be following this brother’s career. A little research revealed that he has been a popular dancer in the Paris underground street dance/battle scene since he was a pre-teen. MODEL MOVERS - HABBY JACQUES With NY Fashion Week: Mens about to jump of, I thought I’d highlight some brothers who’ve made waves in the worlds of dance and modeling. —— Hob dot (fka Hob Goblin) is one of the originating pioneers of Flex/Bonebreaking and remains one of its most in-demand practitioners. I’ve loved this brother’s emotion-rooted, fluid bonebreaking style for years. He’s had a foot in the fashion world for several years, serving many of his fellow dancers as an image consultant, doing campaign work (like this lit KenzoSS17 joint,) fashion week runway appearances and countless product commercials. He’s fresh off the critically-acclaimed Rihanna “Anti” world tour and the new Justin Timberlake “filthy” video. I’m looking forward to the dope-lit imagery Hob will bring to the world of fashion as he seeks agency representation in LA which will enable him to explore even greater opportunities to represent and collaborate with top designers, brands and photogs.
