it cannot be understated how impressive it is to show up to the nürburgring, put the car on pole with a single push lap, go toe to toe with one of the veterans of the series, drive in his gearbox while the rest of the cars trail ~25 seconds behind, navigate the newness of it all (yes we all know who he is and what he's capable of so it's easy to neglect that this is in fact only his second nls race, the first one in this particular car), learn in real time how to improve, implement it on the go and relentlessly attack until the opportunity presents itself to grab it by the teeth and finally come out on top, even if it's in the last few seconds of the stint.

that's the racing excitement with the max verstappen signature all over it.
