♡ and Cobert 😘
‘Accidentally falling asleep together’
Thank you for the prompt and I hope you enjoy some Modern Cobert!

“But this Friday night, do it all again!” Cora finally finished her boisterous singing of Katy Perry from the bar to her London house, a slightly less, but in no doubt drunk friend, Robert.
Cora giggled lightly as she fished in her bag for her keys. She found them with a triumphant ‘Ha!’ and wiggled them around in her keyhole till her door swung open, pulling her small weight with it. Both friends laughed loudly as Cora pulled Robert into her front room.
“Anything to drink, eat?” Cora asked with a fake posh accent and a smirk.
“No, thank you, milady.” came the reply with another terrible fake posh accent and a lopsided smirk.
Cora nodded and sat, nay slumped, herself down on the sofa, patting the space, next to her as an invite for Robert to sit down. He took it and the two grinned at each other, alcohol seeping off his breath. Cora looked around for the tv remote, and eventually found it behind the stack of papers on her coffee table.
She switched on the tv and found a random channel that played a show called ‘The Circle’. No attention was paid to it as the two friends’ eyelids grew heavy. Robert had got himself comfortable and when Cora dropped off first, she made herself comfortable against Roberts body, his chest being her, highly comfortable, pillow. Robert dropped off only a minute later, not mentioning a thing about the awkward position the two were in.

Cora awoke via the rare London sun that poured through her Victorian windows into her eyes. She sat up and stretched but stopped abruptly when she heard a moan. She looked to the side and the sight that greeted her sent memories flooding back into her.
She realised the source of her headache was the copious amounts of alcohol the previous night. She also remembered how she fell asleep on her best friend.
Crap.
Cora tip-toed up, trying not to wake Robert and to soothe her banging headache. She crept to the bathroom and took two aspirin tablets. She then crept into the kitchen and got the herself a glass of water and a coffee, and as she turned around she decided that Robert will need one as well.
Cora downed her water and coffee, ran back to the bathroom (she had gone back and to so often she was positive it was not helping her head in the slightest) and got two aspirin.
She knelt slowly next to Robert and whispered quietly while shaking his shoulders, “Robert, Rob, Robert, wake up, I got you some aspirin, water and coffee, you'll need it” Cora smiled as Robert groggily opened his eyes, sat up and accepted her offer.
The two had buttered toast and spent the day together getting rid of each of their headaches. Cora always had a small voice in the back of her head, reminding her of the event at the end of last night, but as Robert never brought it up, neither did she, even if she did have a growing crush on him.
And that stayed true,
But when Robert thanked her when mid-afternoon they sat cross-legged on the red sofa with that soft smile which always made her swoon, Cora placed her coffee down and leant forward, capturing Roberts lips with her own.
Robert froze, almost making Cora pull away, but then he leant into the kiss. The two only pulled apart when the need for oxygen became too strong. The two of them, both heavily breathing, looked into each other eyes and smiled, Cora broke the silence with a whisper.
“You don't know how long I wanted to do that.”
My first entry for the "Year of the OTP" writing event @yearoftheotpevent. For my January drabble, I chose the 'fake dating' prompt. I don't quite know why but I really enjoy this trope, I mean look at "Kissing knuckles". This drabble is not connected to "Kissing knuckles" but it's also a modern Cobert AU. Hope you enjoy it!
