I’ve been tossing around the idea of Modern Medici for awhile and I’ve decided to see how it goes! So I’ll be adding muses and bios for that shortly!
I’ll add modern muses for most of the Medici I already have on my muse list and I’ll also be adding Lorenzo as a modern test muse! (These muses will be crossover friendly)
Modern muses
Melpomèni - muse of tragedy
I watched the original Xanadu. Not too impressed with the movie. I started watching a bootleg of the Broadway musical and I'm only 15 minutes but I am obsessed.
Modern Day Muses
Calliope: Sharp suits and heels, a digital recorder there at all times as she records the momentous events around the world, heroic deeds and long-reaching stories.
Clio: Coffee mug stains on tables, messy hair, dimly lit archives and the smell of old books. Scribbled notes of research and a flurry of gestures as she explains a fascinating fact of aeons past, enthusiasm never dimming.
Erato: A wicked smile as she passes love notes to be used, popping bubblegum between candyfloss flavoured lips. A romantic at heart though, inspiring gentle vows between lovers, poems of praise and passion.
Euterpe: She’s there on stage, hot lights and sweat on skin. Calloused fingers grip her guitar as she screams timeless lyrics, echoed by the crowd below, their energy feeding her, hers feeding them, a constant flow of joy and passion, of nameless emotion howled to the dark.
Melpomene: She sits on a darkened stage, her words those of memory and melancholy, she speaks the blues in poetry to a low, heavy beat. Rapt students soak it in, learn lessons, channel emotions.
Polyhymnia: Bright eyed and fresh faced she walks in sunlight, teaches outside, teaches and praises nature, gives honour to creation, passes that love on to her students who listen rapt, soaking in her love and her adoration for the world around.
Terpsichore: Sweat pours down her skin beneath the hot stage lights. The music swells around her, a wild, pulsing beat. Her movements inspire the others in the club, lights flash, the smell of alcohol and perfume in the air. The rhythm flows through her and she grins a sharp edge smile of pure joy and exhilaration.
Thalia: She grins, self-deprecating, struts the stage, microphone in hand. She owns it, has the audience in the palm of her hand, eating up her words. Roars of laughter greet each comedic twist as she speaks old truths, repackaged for the modern day.
Urania: The stars never really change, not in essence. Now though she calculates trajectories to the stars, reads lines of data, sees the beauty in figures, in exploration into the cosmos. She speaks at colleges, at universities, online seminars that inspire young people into astronomy, to pursue their dreams around the stars beyond.

Holy crap, its already June? This has been the longest year already!
My creative juices have begun to flow again so I figured I would give an update on updates to on-going fics as well as 2 little blurbs about upcoming WIPs! If there is one of these you are more excited for than another drop a comment or a share and let me know! On going fics I am currently working on: The Crone of Purgatory - Chapter 5 (High Fantasy - Kyojuro Rengoku x OC) Modern Muses - Chapter 4 (Modern - Yakuza Kyojuro Rengoku x College Art Student OC) The Big Helper - Mouse is back to once again terrorizes Uraume in a new installment of my Daddy Duty series (Dad Sukuna x Reader series) I also have some new fics that are actively in the works I'm excited to tell you guys about. They are both about Kyojuro and my OC Bri. I have tried several times to write him with other OCs and I just can't do it. These two belong together in my mind. (Don't worry, long time readers, I will still do x reader smut too! I'm just having fun with my OC right now! :) ) . Both of these 2 new fics will deal with very dark content and are MDNI AT ALL. Without further adieu, come take a step inside my brain: The Exclusive -(Kyojuro Rengoku x Female OC) Bri is an investigative reporter that gets to tackle a case of men and women going missing in her home town of Las Vegas NV. This story will drag her and her best friend into an underworld they never even knew existed. It will open Bri's eyes to many things. Like the fact that demons exist. And the fact that only one thing can kill them. And oh yeah - her husband's real occupation is to kill said demons! Intimacy Seeker - (Kyojuro Rengoku x Female OC and kinda x Akaza?) My first foray into the world of yandere. This fic will most likely be DEAD DOVE. I am warning you now. I will probably only post it on AO3 because of the dark content. It is told from Akaza's POV. It's about his unrequited love for Kyojuro and how it changed into obsession.
