TY and Dylan, chillin
These two intentionally have opposite designs, but maybe a bit too much haha! Had to tone down TY so he didn’t look like a circus next to drab Dylan
Sketch!
Happy New Year, С Новым годом, Кэлэн иһэр саҥа дьылынан- from Sayana and Alexis!
They hope you have a great 2023!
2022 brought both of these girls into my collection, so I’d say it was a success! It seems like I’ve had Sayana forever, but it really hasn’t been that long… boy, I need to slow down my doll buying, don’t I?!

List under cut
seven year rain
It was raining on the day she found forgiveness. She remembered because on that day, she was standing in the rain waiting for death to find her. She was counting the seconds because she knew how long it would take him to pull the trigger. She was already soaked, it had taken him a while to find her. She had been waiting for exactly nine minutes. It takes him that long to find her, it takes him three seconds to pull the trigger. It was raining that day, she was staring into the skies waiting for the shot that she knew was coming. It was raining and she was ready to die. The bullet pierces her in the wrong spot. It tears into her leg with a viciousness and she collapses still very much alive. Fuck she thinks fuck fuck fuck fuck fuckfuckfuck. She can imagine the iron seeping into the gathered rainwater. It'll take him around two minutes to descend to the ground, but maybe if the world is merciful, she'll be dead by then. That is, if a gunshot to the leg is enough to kill anyone. It's not. She should have been dead, he'd had clean shot straight between her eyes and he hadn't taken it. If he had then this would have all been over. She closes her eyes, blinks the rain from her eyelashes. When she opens her eyes, he's standing beside her. "You had a fucking clean shot." He says nothing, drops down beside her and shoves her pants up to her knee. "A fucking clean shot." She hears a tear, and a tremble but is unsure which is her voice and which is him. "Why didn't you take it you coward, you stupid idiotic motherfucking co--" Her hand is on the hilt of the knife strapped to her leg and if he won't end it then she will. But his hand is there too, already too familiar with her habits to overlook it. She shifts, tests if he knows her intention too. The glare that he sends her says he knows. "Shut up." He says, and she does. The cloth touches the underside of her calf for a moment before he pulls it tight. Almost immediately, she can feel the blood flow stop. The makeshift binding bites into her skin. She takes a breath and realizes it is her that has been trembling, her voice and herself. He ties the cloth again, and again. She wonders how many times he can knot it before there is nothing left to knot. "What now?" She's staring past him into the sky. It's raining still, but above her he shifts back to his haunches, satisfied with her leg. "Now? Now we get out of this rain." "After that?" "And after that, we disappear." "Are you an idiot?" She wants to ask if he wants to die, because if he does then she can kill him right here right now. Goodness knows, it might solve all of her problems at once. She wants it to come out all angry and scathing and provoking. Instead, her question is soft. It's as if all the strength has run out of her body and into the ground. "They told me to shoot you. I shot you." He's kneeling beside her now, slinging her arm across his shoulder. And she finds that when he stands, she also stands with her good leg. He's taller than her by a good ten inches, her shoulder slants unnaturally as they find a balance and limp towards shelter. It was raining, but something in her chest felt really light and she realized what this meant. They were leaving. Disappearing. She had thought about this sometimes in the dark of night, just walking out of the life she had lived up til this day. She never really thought she would do it.
"Is it really that simple?"
"It is."
--------------------------------------------------------------------
It was raining on the day she found forgiveness, and it was raining on the day that those two disappeared from my life. I know because when Sadiq came back he was in a black mood. I asked him what was wrong because I had rarely seen him in such a state. Sadiq was a handler with the most stable and rational of tempers. I liked that about him. We all liked that about him. I think she liked that about him too, but Alke loved Sadiq for more than that. A dog loves it's master if the master is kind, a dog loves the hand that feeds it. Alke loved Sadiq in a way that went beyond that, and later, Sadiq would tell me that this is the reason she left.
"Once a dog tastes freedom, it'll never forget." He turned to me and patted my hair. "You probably don't understand, but maybe one day you will."
She never spoke of freedom. Before this, if you were to tell me that she would run away, then I would have laughed. Alke was one of the strongest hounds, she had something that none of us ever had. I could never put my finger on it, but Sadiq called it 'freedom'. It didn't look like freedom though. Freedom was a hawk flying in the air, it was the ability to run through the breadth of the sky unhindered. I imagined freedom to feel like the wind. Alke, who sat next to the window staring out into the sea, did not seem very free to me.
You see, Alke dreamed of the sea. She hated the water but she dreamed of the sea. She told me once that there was someone in a ship somewhere and that person was very important to her. I asked her if that person was important to her in the same way that Sadiq was important to us. She looked at me and said yes, but at the same time her eyes were saying no. I didn't understand why but I didn't question it either. She stared out towards the Bosphorus, out into the sea. I stared too, but I never saw what she saw.
I said I never saw them again, but I think I might have. It was in Istanbul, long after Sadiq and I and the others had left that place. I was walking through the streets and I saw these two people sharing coffee in the sun.
The sunlight cast shadows across his face so I could not be sure if it was him, and the girl sitting across from him had black hair like Alke, but Alke never wore it so long. She brought the cup to her mouth and said something to the man. He laughed and she laughed too and the rich sound filled my ears. That girl did not look like Alke, but I wanted to imagine she was Alke. I pressed this image into my memory: two people sharing coffee in the sun. Between them was summer and warmth and all those soft feelings I could not imagine. I felt out of place, like I had walked into a painting I did not belong in.
I imagine that freedom looked like that.
