Modifiers for labels under the cannibalistic attraction umbrella(link) specifying if you want to be the one to cannibalize, have mutual cannibalism, or to be the one cannibalized respectively. These can also be used as their own label if one wishes.

These can be applied either to the front or to the end and can be shortened. Examples: mutual cannilial, cannamor cannibalizer, cannheshin-ized, mu-cannixual. The shortened version of each are zer-/izer- or -zer/-izer, mu-/mut- or -mu/-mut, and zed-/ized or -zed/-ized. The dashes aren't necessary but may help with readability.

You can also create combo flags if you wish.

[cannibalizer flag id: a rectangular flag with 13 horizontal lines. the 1st, 2nd, 12th, and 13th line are triangular. the 4th and 10th line are wavy, and the rest are straight. line sizes in this order from top to bottom: 2 thick, 9 medium, 2 thick. the 4th line has been made to look like it is dripping from multiple spots. colors in this order starting from the top and reflected after the last listed color: black, dark red, red, reddish orange, orange, golden yellow and yellow. in the center of the flag is a heart shaped piece of meat with yellow and orange flesh, and around the symbol are sharp white teeth. /end id]

If any experienced pigeon breeders see this, can you please tell what kind of phenotype/modifiers my pigeon has. I've been trying to figure it out for a while and I'm still new to pigeons, btw she's an Iranian highflyer if that helps.

so i'm new to Aether Gazer and haven't done a lot of reading of their worldbuilding but i noticed a really prevalent theme so far: adoption.

Oceanus has an adopted son, Enlil.

Marduk has an adopted son, Kingu.

Hades seems to have adopted Oneiroi as her own daughter.

Anubis was adopted by a man whose codename he would later inherit.

Buzenbo inherited her sword from an adopted father.

i feel like there is more i'm missing but this is what i know so far. i just couldn't help but notice it. i suppose someone has to take care of unawakened Modifiers just popping out of nowhere.

edit: i finished the main story so far and i'm gonna add Athena to the list. Athena was adopted by Colleen Pallas and raised her to be a knight commander.

Most of our features were solidified early on, and while types, implications and tag pages saw some refinement in how we’re planning to use them, at the core they have not changed much. We added only two main features later in the process: tag modifiers and tag clusters. Tag clusters will be explained in a later post

Modifiers add detail about how this tag relates to this book, and help us keep the total number of tags down which in turn makes searching easier. Instead of writing "multiple graphic descriptions of internal bleeding", we tag Injury: Internal Bleeding, but add the modifiers "multiple" and "graphic" to it. Sometimes a tag doesn't technically fit, but conveys the same general idea: The page training the protagonist undergoes in Tamora Pierce's First Test isn't exactly in a boarding school, but the protagonist is a child, taking lessons and having exams with other children, and living at the place their training takes place. When we tagged it Setting: Boarding School, we added the modifier "kinda" to it. Other modifiers include "past" for events that don't happen in the major timeline, or "by another name" for concepts the author uses a different word for: when werewolves are called “moonhounds,” we will still tag “werewolves” with the modifier “by another name.”

Modifiers only refine a tag, never negate it. They just add a bit of depth when it's needed. We currently display them by writing them in parentheses, for example: Location: West African Country (fictional). Multiple modifiers can be added to a single tag, but most tags have no modifier at all. They help us out when we find a tag by itself lacks nuance to accurately summarize the piece of the story it describes.
