Modranīht 2023.
A day late this year, so actually celebrating on Yule, but I prefer Modranīht over Yule anyway. I might be a bad pagan, but I make the rules, so there's no such thing.
I really like this ritual. It's so simple. And short. Every word in it serves a purpose and when I speak it, I can feel it working. If I'm not really feeling the ritual when I start it, I definitely am when I finish. And there's plenty of room to breathe and think and meditate and sit with the goddesses and ancestors.
Idk. I felt very inadequate for a long time because the things I wrote weren't long and flowery and intricate like all the rituals or prayers I found online. But I'm finally really happy with something I wrote.
All this to say: write your own rituals! Play! Explore! It's really satisfying and you'll learn so much.
