just a year ago i had such high hopes,

i wanted to reach the top.

but now i’m at rock bottom crying into the sheets

and i can’t make it stop.

one disaster after another,

this story has become a tragedy.

but i am yet to reach breaking point

and i know that i will find my remedy

if i just keep pushing

when life keeps pulling,

i refuse to bow down,

its all or nothing.

i’ll take the pain and turn it to paint,

watercolour canvas; a teary-blue stain.

i will make my stress the path to my success

even if it it is an arduous process.

rejection tells us something better is out there for us,

failure is a sign of effort and trying,

lack of recognition does not mean lack of ability.

so chin up now, keep focused on the grind.

after all nothing good ever came easily

and just remember this moment is merely temporary.
