Memories || Lena's First Birthday with Stef

Lena cleans out her side of the nightstand and while cleaning it, she notices a big envelop, she reaches for it and opens it on the bed. Letting out a laugh realizing what it is, and flashes back at that very special day.

Flashback:

After a long day at school, Lena was awfully tired. It's been a tough day at work and honestly all she wanted to do is get home and just relax, she doesn't even care about the fact that it's her birthday. Lena arrives at home, and when she got to the door of the house that she had just bought with Stef, she notices a note taped to the door. She reaches for the door nob and opens the door, walking inside, she drops her bag and takes the notes off the door, before closing the door. Lena goes and sits down at the chair that was near the door, and begins to read the lovely note, her girlfriend left: 

“This is my treat. Our time together. Today is your birthday and you know what I’m going to spoil you, even though you said you don't want anything, but you know I never listen to things like this and well, I want to do this. (Living room please) x”

Lena looked around and saw another note laying on the coffee table. She looks down at the ground trying to hide her grin but she notices flower pedals in a line leading to the living room. She walked over and picked up the note. Smiling so bright, and reading:

 “I didn't know what life was going to be like for me during this time last year but then this amazing woman walked into my life. She puts up with my smart-ass comments, took care of my son as one of hers, and the fact that she keeps cooking these fantastic meals for my son and I. She’s made me realize that I love her completely and never want to spend another moment of my life without her. (please go to the dinning room) x”

  Lena smiles, carrying both two notes with her and heading to the destination that was written on the note. She grinned. There were still boxes in the room that they hadn't unpacked yet. However Lena notices a note on the table. Walking over to the table and smiles while reading the note:

 “You've changed me for the better and  made me realize who I really am. You've made me realized that closets are for clothes not me hiding in them. I love how you make me smile, how you love me. how you make me feel. I still get that those geedy feeling when I wake up beside you, even when we are in our PJ’s. I love you completely, (kitchen please babe). X.”

  Lena chuckles and slowly walks into the kitchen and smiled at the glass of white wine, a bundle of red rose and yet another note from her beautiful girlfriend. The note reads:

 “Remember the first time we saw this house, you had rude thoughts about this table. Rude thoughts that we've already fulfilled. You are the love of my life Lena Elizabeth Adams. Eight months in and I know this. I know soon this house will be filled with children and laughter and you and me. my bad jokes. You’re laughter. I love you completely. (garden please babe) xxxx”

After reading the last note, Lena starts laughing at the unbelievable memory of what happened in the garden. Sitting on the bed, filled with laughter and happiness, Lena still can't believe how lucky and in love she still feels toward Stef. Look the two are married with five beautiful kids.
