#perlesaerie It’s Mother’s Day. Never been a fan of federally designated days. For several years now every Wednesday has been Mother’s Day aka #momsdayout. I’m fortunate that my mother @ 87 is well and going strong. Up until Rona came to town, we’d be out and about every Wednesday. Yup. Rona changed everything, and Mom’s been sheltering in place since March 11. So now I do all the shopping solo. And #momsdayout is now #momsdayoff or #momsdayin. Every Thursday now, I pick up anything she needs at grocery n pharmacy and I go over and spend the day. The primary lesson Rona teaches is to savor every day as the gift it is. #momsdayoff Yup. Haven’t had a #momsdayout since March 10. But every week or so I pick up anything mom needs at grocery n pharmacy and I go over and spend the day. We keep our distance, and it’s all good. She refuses to have a pic taken because she says she’s wearing her ‘hobo clothes’ for the duration (sweats n things that have seen better days). But as she’s in perpetual motion spring cleaning, gardening, feeding n watering the birds, I can’t blame her for not dressing up. I did covertly snap one of her out pruning hell out of the grapevines. The rest are pix of her gorgeous back yard and the rooms she’s reclaimed n staged after a sib n his son moved to a home of their own. You’ll note she’s a doll collector, most of which she found on our weekly foray to the Salvation Army. She say that’s the number one destination she wants when this is over and then show shopping.
