i watched the lissie vid and first of all, bless lissie for choosing the photo of christian lovingly cradling daniel's face lmao but also christian's reaction to it. "all right!" he was so excited to talk about it. you can tell by the edits some of his commentary was even cut out. all the details fresh in his brain vs fumbling for something to talk about with checo's. although i imagine if any of the rumors about that weekend are true that probably is part of the awkwardness lol.

that's true re: the awkwardness, but it's also a little bit funny thinking that he was reminded of that whole debacle (as if anyone could forget), right before this year's monaco performance 💀 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' but what if it IS.....

Okay it’s interesting though bc he’s definitely dialed it back imo for example saying he’d love it instead of like outright stating it as a goal, responding to press bringing it up vs him just wilding out about it unprompted etc. But also lol at Lissie being like nah it’ll be Red Bull 2024

i agree, but to me it's interesting to think about it in the context of the whole weekend. i don't know / remember the exact chain of events in terms of filming, but in terms of release the bloomberg one was definitely first. and in that one, COMPLETELY UNPROMPTED he repeatedly hammers home that red bull is where he feels he belongs, that it's his dream to race with them again, that he wants to win monaco with them, etc etc etc.

and like who knows, maybe the press officer assigned to him reported that back and the rbr higher ups told him he's gotta cut that shit out. maybe it was his team deciding they'd put enough of that messaging out and now it's time to pull back. maybe it was some yet-unknown secret third option. but whatever the case may be, at that point even if he's not saying it, the implications are still there underneath what he IS saying!!! cause he IS still making reference to winning with the team again. he IS still saying that his plan is to be back in a seat next year. he may not be loudly and overtly gunning for checo's seat but when he's already made it clear EXACTLY where his head is at and EXACTLY what he wants, the reverberating undertones are literally inescapable.

and it's for exactly that reason that you can't even blame lissie for going SO hard on the 'daniel back to rbr 2024' thing!! she's just picking up the vibes that he himself has put into the universe!! what else is she supposed to do!! once you're One Of Us, it can't be escaped or denied!!
