linux would be so much better if service names managing things ended in monger instead of manager
e.g. modem monger
Double amputee ex-racing driver Billy Monger

Krenko’s Guide to Creature Types: Monger
Art by Heather Hudson
What is a Monger (flavorfully)?
A Monger is a trader or dealer in the real world, and while it’s often used in a straight method- a fishmonger sells fish- it’s often used more metaphorically- a rumormonger spreads and deals in rumors. The five Mongers in Magic: the Gathering are both literal and metaphorical versions, selling something that wouldn’t normally be sellable. Monger is a class type, and each of the five Mongers are of a different race. Three of them, in fact, are of totally unique races that haven’t been seen anywhere else.
What is a Monger (mechanically)?
The Mongers are a hard cycle, each being a 3/3 creature costing 3M, one of each color. Each has an activated ability that costs 2 with the caveat that any player may activate their ability.
Can I make a Monger deck?
No. There’s only five, one of each color, with absolutely no synergy.
Is Monger a good creature type?
No. I don’t have anything particularly bad to say about the type, but the hard cycle is sold well enough in their names, and the ability isn’t really interesting or unique enough to have its own creature type attached. It’s not really doing its job as a reminder type like Processor, and it’s not doing anything to make these creatures extra cool. It’s not offensively bad, but it’s effectively blank text.
The only card I really have an issue here, then, is Squallmonger, pictured above, who has no other creature type. Whatever she actually is, we may never know for sure.
I was thinking of the whole ‘Villain is a radical leftist and we agree with them basically but damn their so mean about it’ trope and I realized that there’s legit ALWAYS a scene where said character dies and the main character forgives them for their crimes like without fail this scene exists istg
