Owl monkeys, also called Night monkeys are the one and only monkey species that is active after dark. They live in South America, owl monkeys have large eyes that are adapted to their nocturnal lifestyle.

First curiosity of this blog, actually more of a fun fact, the capuchin monkey (Sapajus apella), a South American species, gets its original name (Macaco-Prego) from its erect penis, which resembles a nail.

(in Portuguese, it means more like 'nail monkey').
