I hope you both know I'm hopelessly obsessed with Monroe Carmelo, and if you ever made a little charm with her, I would buy it immediately.

She has such an adorable design, I love the meme potential of her Valentino White Bag, and her inspo is so much better. I know very little about the irl Marilyn, but she seemed like a sweet woman who endured so many hard things in life.

Carmelo has taken up residency in my head as one of my favorite OCs from fandoms, and she encompasses why I love seeing people's OCs, cause y'all are all so creative with them.

introducing monroe carmelo; leader of team cfvy ! aka a coco redesign that isn’t modelled around a nazi.

her major design influence is the jewish cultural icon, marilyn monroe. monroe means river & carmelo is hebrew  /  italian for an orchard or garden, however her last name can also allude to caramel. she also has a semblance overhaul, now named “girl’s best friend” which is essentially an ability to exaggerate explosions under pressure, akin to a flash bang.

she still has her bag as a weapon for cqc; however it is now a valentino white bag inlaid with gold & diamond accents. insert velvet doing the “i spilled lipstick in your valentino white bag” meme here.

How is Monroe around Oscar? And Ironwood?

monroe hasn’t got much of an opinion on oscar because i don’t tend to think about him in the scope of headcanons / rewrites, as i prefer sun as ozpin’s host instead but i think she would feel quite protective. having younger siblings of her own, seeing this child have to go through so much would definitely bring out that side of her.

her attitude towards james is very mixed but she does appreciate his strength, from the little she saw of him during the vytal tournament in beacon. atlas was her second choice academy to go to because of her mother’s atlesian heritage & family connections there so she had high opinions of him as a headmaster from that.

Here’s a thought, Velvet is willing to forgive Cardin, but her team isn’t(I’ll assume it being led by your reimagined Coco, Marylin was it?) and they are the ones Cardin really has to bust his ass for.

oh yeah definitely; monroe & yatsuhashi are pretty much adamant for the longest time that cardin hasn’t changed & this is just some long con of a joke at velvet’s expense. fox is distrustful but isn’t as open with it, trusting velvet’s intuition & really just being more reserved than the very outgoing monroe & the strong willed yatsuhashi.

FNKI but their allusions are famous musicians/singers. Flynt is Lil Nas X. Neon is Doja Cat. Could even add Monroe in there given Marilyn Monroe's status as a singer. Change the spelling of the team name so it is FNCI or you could add a fourth member with a U as an initial to form the forbidden team, Team FUCK.

monroe’s the youngest child of three, her family are all based after famous models  /  film stars.

there’s her mother, grace carmelo who’s allusion is grace kelly. her other mother tiffany carmelo, who’s allusion is audrey hepburn. hen she has two older twin siblings, dean & taylor who’s allusions are james dean & elizabeth taylor respectively.

she likes to pretend she’s so bougie with her coffee but really give her that pumpkin spiced latte stuff & she adores it. velvet finds her surrounded by at least 5 cups while working on her studies.

she’s also a book whore through & through, she could devour books like they were nothing in a single night when one truly catches her attention. the feelin of being lost in another world, exploring it & learning everything excites her.
