MONSTER TREASURE RELEASE NEW SINGLE ‘NEON GARDEN’ 

The latest track to be released from their second LP II, MONSTER TREASURE have revealed Neon Garden. 

According to Rachel Orimo, bassist/vocalist, the single is "An ode to house-sitting, being in the moment, getting stoned & gardening in the summer, growing pains, and life cycles”.

Following the album’s release, MONSTER TREASURE will be returning to the UK this month to support Slowcoaches on tour, as well as playing a headline show of their own at The Old Blue Last in London. II is due out this week via Leaisure & District. Check out the new track and full list of UK tour dates below.

Currently in the UK for the first ever time, California’s Monster Treasure have revealed a brand new B-side ‘The Fall’ in anticipation of the release of their debut album via Leisure & District next week. They’re currently in the midst of a clutch of shows that will see them play a special album launch party at The Lock Tavern in London tomorrow, as well as support slots with White Lung and NOTS. Having met in High School in central California earlier this millennium, the three who make up Monster Treasure formed a few years back with the common goal to craft songs inspired by heartbreak, mortality, and financial struggle. The resulting record is mostly about being in love, frustrated, bored and angry in life. Bittersweet melodies and unhinged guitars are the order of the day. Fully immersed in their local scene, Briana, Rachel, and RJ forge visceral, melody-fuelled punk nuggets using plenty of distortion and layering the instruments at their disposal to devastating effect. Equal parts scuzzy and sweet, menacing and full of sunshine, ‘Monster Treasure’ is a record that will both unsettle and delight.
