the background for february's monthly square is an analog version of google calendar because motherfucker did this month hit me like a truck with the amount of events and the need for planning all of them

will be doing a square for every month of the year representing some of the stuff that has happened, to then turn into a wall tapestry of sorts, and ill be doing this in parallel with a friend who will be making hers; this is my progress on january so far (please dont judge the horses face i will redraw it to be better lol i cant draw animals for shit)

this is my first time trying needle turn applique and despite a few fuzzy corners due to a poor fabric choice for this project i believe it is great for this being my first rodeo! i have the whole thing planned out and cant wait to see it done, hopefully ill update yall in a couple of days with the finished thing :) i dont intend to be particularly careful or overly fastidious about details as this is a personal project to try new things and just make something for myself, my main goal is to have fun and an easy project to complete that aligns with my goals of Making More Stuff With My Hand Along With Other People this year

i have never in my life done a fully pieced and quilted patchwork thing, and now im planning on doing a 4x4 20cm monochromatic in black/grey square comprised of four different designs @ people who quilt is this too ambitious? lmfao
