Monthly check in
Weight: down 6.2lbs 😊
Food: about 80/20 healthy vs profiteroles, very pleased with my intake over the month! 😊
Gym/running: been a little slack ☹️
Other: feeling pretty low this month ☹️
From left to right, top to bottom, my scale reads body weight, body fat, water weight, muscles mass, and bone density. I used this scale a lot when I first became a trainer and started competing in volleyball. It helped a lot with my body composition so I want to start using it again to make sure I know I’m guiding my health in the right direction. The top half is 3/31/20, after two weeks of quarantining and using the isolation as a “vacation” of my normal duties. My body was in one of the worst states it has ever been in. The bottom half was taken today and it doesn’t seem like much but it’s not bad for all of the gyms being closed. Body fat is down and muscle mass is up. Bone density and water weight are at healthy levels. I don’t really care about body weight because anyone can be light and have a high body fat percentage. I am seriously losing it a little more every day without going to the gym, especially without leg day. Both of them. 😭 But this is a time where I learn to adapt, be creative, and stay healthy. Feb. 1st vs. March 1st: I was feeling pretty bummed out cuz I kept weighing myself on a daily basis and it just wouldn't go down. My goals aren't really focused around losing weight, but it's hard not to look at it all the time. I compared the photos from last month and I didn't see any difference. Every 2 weeks I take my measurements and it turns out almost everything is going down except my weight! I've been increasing weights in every muscle group, my diet is decreasing in fast food and eating out, and I'm feeling more energized in the morning and fall asleep easier at night (even tho that doesn't mean much, I can fall asleep standing up 😌). Staying focused is getting easier and differences can't always be seen right off the bat. So close yet so far 😶 #progress #monthlycheckin #fitlife #slowandsteady
