I ran 123.0 miles in the month of April! Not a bad total for not doing high mileage running. May should look the same. I'm not running until Tuesday, so I posted this now since no run is happening today! #monthlymiles

Think this is a good representation of November. The sun trying to beak through the clouds. Only ran 20 miles again this month, just ticking over. I have been rugby training a couple of times. I have done a few long walks. I guess it depends on how you define a success month? Parkrun has felt comfortable the couple of times I’ve been. I feel okay, booked a race for New Year’s Day. I’ll hopefully get out for a couple of longer runs in preparation for it! #november #monthlymiles #lonelygoatrunningclub #injuryrecovery #weightlossjourney #morethanjustmilesran (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/Clov1ndLTAU/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Not much to write home about for this month. Had a week & half off running with flu, I even had a day off work which means i must have been rough! The plan was to start November with a long run tomorrow, however a positive covid test this morning means even if I feel fine it’s not wise to go out in the wet & cold. Working from home as can’t go back to office until I have a negative test. I can imagine Thursdays rugby training & parkrun are in jeopardy. Fingers crossed I’m okay for coaching Sunday! #monthlymiles #october #garmin #lonelygoatrunningclub #rebel #instarunning #runstagram #ukrunchat #lonelygoatrunners #injuryrecovery (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/CkZGwVZLZEu/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
So that was August, I think a cycling month. Running was very sparse. I did nearly 80 miles on the bike three weeks of work & back daily soon mounts up. But I only ran 20 miles! I would have cycled more if it wasn’t for my week off, easy to see in the photo! Been on the bike a couple of days this week. Not run yet I will at the weekend. First Sunday of September means the return to @poolerfcjuniors girls are excited, I’m a little nervous, this season I have my own age group. I’m not just someone’s assistant! Staying with U7’s & not coaching my youngest as she moves up to U8’s! Swipe for a couple of august photo dumps. I’m not putting any pressure on myself for September, it is now a full year since my Achilles rupture, I will book a race before Xmas & something for the spring so I have something to train for. But I’ll just cycle to work as often as feasible, run hopefully twice a week & try to squeeze in a strength or yoga session. Not too much then! #runner #cyclingcommute #lonelygoatrunningclub #monthlymiles #injuryrecovery #weightlossjourney #fitover40 #runnersofinstagram #lonelygoatrc #lonelygoatcc #garmin #strava #photodump #august #ukrunchat #runningcommunity #cyclist (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch-K9-iL14O/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
July done, not ran us much as I wanted, but been out on the bike a bit more. Mainly due to using it to get to work. Only one longer ride. The plan for august is daily cycling to work. While the kids are on holidays. However have a week off at the end of the month, only three weeks of #cyclecommuting ahead. As long as the legs can cope I will be running at least twice a week, every week. I felt the heat & too much going on as an excuse for the lack of #monthlymiles however had more than a few times it was just an achievement getting out at all! Glad I’m not training for any autumn/winter races, or is it the getting out difficult because I’ve not got a race booked! #lonelygoatrunningclub #instarunner #ukrunchat #benrunnerpants (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cgr-UwKrDkc/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Not running tonight after yesterday. So it’s a wrap for June. Slight increase on mileage from May. Regularly getting out twice a week. Ankle not 100% it will be a slow process. But I think it is getting better, it hurts less when running & less after. To be honest I don’t see much change over the summer. I’ll just keep ticking along, getting out a couple of times a week. Not been out on the bike, but walking plenty. Really need to work harder on eating sensibly, just plateauing, no real losses, but not gaining. Julys goal is to push up to 10km, I ran 5 miles last week. I think 10km is in touching distance. Then I can start to think about race entries again! #runnersofinstagram #lonelygoatrunningclub #monthlymiles #junedone #weightlossjourney #injuryrecovery #garmin #myoddballs #rebel #ukrunchat #lonelygoatrunner (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfbfaQYNO3Z/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
April… not run as much as I intended only 18 miles, however niggle in my knee needed resting. Got out on my bike a few times. Recorded longer walks separately. Plus logged a good few steps. Feeling good going in to May. I’m not going to over do it, just looking for a bit of consistency. With rugby finished going to try to get out to park yoga on a Sunday morning. Lost another 2kg over the month. Just gently, eating right & moving more. #monthlystats #monthlymiles #lonelygoatrunningclub #garmin #weightlossjourney #gentlydoesit #loseitslowkeepitoff #injuryrecovery #runnersofinstagram #runningcommunity #fitover40 (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdBb00dtkrD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Last month’s mileage. I’m not sure how many I’ll log in February with surgery coming up in a few days, but I hope to feel better once I recover. #monthlymiles https://www.instagram.com/p/CZm_ZKIug6v/?utm_medium=tumblr
