I've been listening to a lot of Mort Garson's Plantasia, and I only discover today that the instrument that he used to make that album was really brought into the limelight by a trans woman, Wendy Carlos!
Thank you, trans women, for giving us the moog synthesizer! Genuinely one of the most amazing sounding instruments of all time to me.
Unfortunately her work doesn't seem to be very readily accessible, I haven't been able to find much of it anywhere. If anyone is able to show me where to find it I will be in your debt forever.
Tracklist:
Black Hole Sun • Buddy Holly • Basket Case • Come Out and Play • Free Fallin' • Are You Gonna Go My Way? • Smells Like Teen Spirit • Evenflow • The One I Love • Rockin' In the Free World
