Southern Hemisphere Solar Eclipse Dates 2020
There will be two solar eclipses in 2020, one annular (ie a solar eclipse in which the moon covers all but a bright ring around the circumference of the sun) and one total (ie an eclipse in which the surface of the eclipsed body is completely obscured).
June 21 (06:40 UT) for 38 seconds, annular, visible from East Africa, Arabia, India, China and the Pacific
December 14 (16:13 UT) for 2 minutes 10 seconds, visible from the mid-Pacific, Chile, Argentina, the Atlantic, west of Namibia

Southern Hemisphere Lunar Eclipse Dates 2020
There will be four penumbral lunar eclipses in 2020, ie not total eclipses. This means there will be no change in brightness to the taken eye, except on the eclipse of January 10 where change may possibly be detected.
January 10, darkest at 19:10 UT, theoretically visible from Australia, Asia and Africa.
June 5 (19:25 UT), faint visibility
July 5 (04:30 UT), faint visibility
November 30, (09:43 UT), faint visibility
