Jun was going out for drinks.

This never happened. Okay, maybe once or twice, with Al-- but overall, Jun closed down the market and went home, for dinner and gaming and rest, hopefully before, 1am, considering he had to wake up at 5. This was how he lived day in and day out, and there was very little time for things like drinks.

But that was before Tae had a job too. 

That was before Tae was an adult. And Jun had promised him that they’d go out for drinks to celebrate all of that! It had taken a while, because when you were an adult you could make plans but only see them through weeks later, as it was dreadfully hard to get everyone’s calendars aligned and things, but it was happening tonight. It was nothing fancy. It was just the Deer. But Jun ordered them pickle chips and beers and they escaped to a booth in the corner. 

“So, how’s it been, eh? You’ve almost worked at Morey’s, mm, what is it now? Two months or three?”

Today Tae was going shopping for a truck and he could not fucking wait. It felt like Christmas morning actually, when he woke up at 5am to make sure all his chores were done. He was whistling and bouncing around and when he made it back into the kitchen, he even struck up a nice conversation with Star about make-up that he didn’t want to stab himself in the eye during. 

So today was going to be a great day. 

The only problem with today, was that Jun was grumpy (as usual) and Tae knew he was going to rain on everyone’s parade. 

“Hyung,” he said as they got into their mother’s car to drive to the dealership. “Are we going to test them all out to make sure we get the best one? I was reading about trucks last night and apparently the Ram 1500 is the best way to go but it’s like, super expensive so a lot of people get Ford f-150s instead which are slightly cheaper. We aren’t getting a new truck probably, right? But the Fords last a good long while, I read so I mean, if we did it would probably be a good investment. Or on the other hand a used one would be a good idea too.” 

Tae buckled his seat belt and looked at his brother, grinning. “We should definitely test drive them both.”
