Moon Phases Garland Pattern
We just can’t get enough of the moon! 💙 Our latest moon garland is more like our original black moon design than our ink moons. Each wall hanging is hand-painted by us with three tones of matte and shimmer blue paints and inks, then cut and stitch with dark blue and black threads making each garland unique! Check out our shop to see the full cosmic collection!
I know this doesn't really fit my usual theme, but I'm so happy with my new pieces 💕
I've been trying to battle my bad anxiety attacks with doing some arts stuff atm to take my mind off of things and that's what I've got so far ☺️ Plus I also needed something that's calmer than the mandala wall tapestry I've had there before.
PINK MOON
Most commonly the full moon in April, each garland is hand-painted by us with a mix of pink and black inks which we then cut and stitch with white thread.
The black ink adds a darkness that symbolises that this moon is from the ‘dark’ half of the Celtic calendar - each garland is unique!
AUTUMN MOONS
Hand-painted by us with a variety of inks then stitched with white thread, each garland is a unique work of art. 🍂 AUTUMN - 3 mini moon garlands - Grain • Harvest • Blood Drawing inspiration from the Celtic calendar each mini moon garland also represents the part of the year it falls into: 'light' full moons feature pearlised, shimmering inks.
Our mini moon phases wall hanging is a beautiful and inventive way to bring a touch of the celestial indoors.
WOLF MOON
Most commonly the full moon in January, each garland is hand-painted by us with a mix of grey and black inks which we then cut and stitch with white thread.
The black ink adds a darkness that symbolises that this moon is from the ‘dark’ half of the Celtic calendar - each garland is unique!
HARVEST MOON
Most commonly the full moon in September, each garland is hand-painted by us with a mix of sepia, brownish-orange and pearlised inks which we then cut and stitch with white thread. This hint of pearlised ink adds a luminescence that symbolises that this moon is from the ‘light’ half of the Celtic calendar - each garland is unique!
Forgot to post this on the night of the full moon, so the first proper snow day of the year reminded us! The Snow Moon is most commonly used name for the full moon in February, this little lunar piece of home decor is our interpretation - abstract and hand painted, we use an icy palette of inks and paints and each garland is totally unique 🌙 The black ink adds a darkness that symbolises that this moon is from the ‘dark’ half of the Celtic calendar.
