I have been reading the Vampire Girl series for the past couple of years and I'm so invested in the characters and the story. When I read the synopsis for the first book I knew that I was going to love it. I mean come on it's about both vampires and fae, I hadn't read anything that had combined the two as thoroughly as this story and that alone is what made the story so awesome, it was unique. Karpov Kinrade is a husband and wife writing team and that have created a story that while it isn't very long it has such depth. They manage to create a world that is stunning and elaborate in such few pages and as the books moved forward so did my view of that world and the characters. Everything was constantly progressing, the way that the kingdoms were run, the characters would grow and I would see different aspects of them. Arianna has always been a fighter and a good person in general, I love her. She worked, fought and survived in the vampire/fae world. Ari grew stronger and more confident the longer she stayed and her magic became an essential part of who she is. Ari wasn't the only one to change, when did Fen get so dramatic? I never though he was dramatic in the previous books but in Moonlight Prince, let me tell you the Prince of War gets his drama on. Speaking of princes, how is it that one of the princes I liked in the beginning of the series I now have a strong distaste for and one of the princes I couldn't stand in the beginning had made me swoon in this book. The prince that made me swoon is Dean... I know right! Dean is handsome but I hated his actions and responses to situations in the beginning of the series but in this final book the Prince of Lust had dropped his douche act and became very charismatic. I can't believe I am saying this but right after Fen, Dean is my next favorite bother. Towards the end Dean showed another part of himself, unlike some of his brothers Dean actually believed that the fae and vampires were equal, he just loved the beauty of their world and wanted everyone to reveal in it. Not is he kinder than appearance he also stood by Arianna's side to do the right thing when it would have been so easier not to. Dean now has a special place in my heart unlike Ace who just took things way to far and while I did wind-up understanding him at the end some of his actions I could not get over. When I first started reading Moonlight Prince I did not know how they were going to wrap-up the story, I mean how could they but they did. Not only did I get more Fen/Arianna time, I love those two together and I love reading from their povs, but I also got to hear from Asher (btw love Asher too). At this point in the book it is a complete crap shoot. Lucian plan is working and Ari's side isn't looking so good. However with a couple of big mysteries revealed and when the past comes to light it mean a major shift in things. It's lucky that Arianna isn't on her own in this world and maybe things can change for everyone. The Moonlight Prince had everything war, romance, drama, revelations and if you are a fan of good endings then you are gonna love this one. Everything is wrapped up pretty neatly and I am going to miss this world, the princes of hell came and they found a queen.
