Happy 30th anniversary of Bubblegum Crisis! As I mentioned in a previous post, I have a pre-scheduled busy day today so there won’t be any liveblogging or much other activity today, but feel free to send questions or comments--especially if you’re a curious first-time watcher!--and I can reply to them tonight or perhaps tomorrow morning.

To celebrate at least a little bit today, please enjoy these wallpaper images from one of my favorite episodes, Moonlight Rambler, and featuring one of my all-time anime favorites, Sylvie. To date, these are the last wallpapers I’ve made because the trial software I was using to read blu-rays on my PC expired and I didn’t feel like plunking down $60 a year to play things I’d already bought. I am looking into other options so I can cover Red Eyes, Double Vision and Scoop Chase. These wallpapers go alongside the previous ones I’ve posted at this link for Episode 1, and at this link for Episodes 2 and 3. Like the previous wallpapers, these images have a lot of expanded space on the sides (oh, the hours spent) because Bubblegum Crisis was filmed in standard 4:3 aspect ratio instead of widescreen.

As always, Tumblr compacts the images down for display, so if you want these in their full 1920x1080 glory (scaling up to higher widescreen resolutions nicely), then you’ll want to get them off my personal blog at this link. You will also find all sorts of other video game related wallpapers and art prints there, if that’s your thing.
