Various scenarios when JJK men push you away when they think you are being too clingy.
You had been extra clingy with Megumi over the last week. He’d gotten injured on a fairly serious mission, and you were scared to let him out of your sight. Constantly checking up on him, and ensuring he was taking care of himself properly. He was basically back to full health, and you were so thankful. Upon bringing in his coffee to him one morning he sighed “I can get my own coffee.”
Your face slightly shifted from a warm smile into a frown. “Sorry. I’m just trying to help.”
“I’m not a child. You don’t have to do everything for me.” His face was firm, almost like he was annoyed with your presence.
“I’m really sorry. I’ll leave you alone.” You muttered on the verge of tears. Leaving his dorm promptly. Megumi realized he messed up in that moment, but there was little he could do. You had stopped calling him, no longer periodically checking in on him, and when you did come over the distance was almost unbearable. Megumi didn’t mean for it to go so far, and he was beginning to miss the little interactions the two of you had with each other. Finally having enough of this after about a week he approached your dorm knocking softly. His face shifted when you opened the door, eyes puffy from crying.
“What do you want?” You glanced up at him sniffing.
“I want to apologize. For being such a dick to you when you were only trying to help.” Megumi wasn’t one for apologies, so you were slightly caught off guard. “I really appreciate you taking care of me. I should’ve been kinder.”
To your surprise suddenly you felt his strong arms enveloping you, a small whisper escaping his lips.
Tears, already welling up in your eyes. You mumbled into his chest “I missed you too Gumi.”
Weeks of working on an exhausting case made Hiromi quite irritable when he finally came home from work. Dinner was always prepared for him upon arrival at any hour, even if it was cold there was always a plate ready for him in the fridge. The apartment was always immaculate, thanks to you. Hiromi always appreciated these things. He always tried to show it, but one night made a mistake. Sitting on the couch waiting for him to arrive home wasn’t anything new, Hiromi walked inside setting his bag by the door. He’d lost the case, and the only thing he wanted to do was silently drink a bottle of whiskey and ponder everything he did wrong.
“Romi!” You smiled brightly when he came inside, running up to hug him.
Hiromi wasn’t in the mood for this right now, the last few weeks every moment you saw him was a bomb of affection towards him. Tonight however he wasn’t in the mood. He snapped “Can I just have a few moments to myself?”
You backed off instantly. “Uh sure. Dinner is in the fridge by the way. It’s your favorite.”
He sighed running his hand through his hair, realizing he may have come off too brash. “I’m sorry.” His tone became softer.
“No, it's quite alright. If you need space I’m happy to give it to you.”
Hiromi watched you walk off into the bedroom closing the door, the apartment was now almost eerily quiet. He walked over to the fridge and saw the beautiful plate you had made for him, making him feel even worse. Hiromi heated it up, sitting silently at the dinner table and popping open the bottle of whiskey taking a large sip. His mind is constantly thinking about you, how his words may have been affecting you. After sometime he finally put the whiskey away, running a hot shower before laying in the bed next to you. He could hear the soft sniffles coming from your side of the bed as you attempted to conceal the fact you were crying so much.
“My love.” He whispered. You didn’t respond.
“I just wanted to apologize yet again for my actions. You mean the world to me, and I treated you horribly. I do hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me. Please.”
You laid in the bed listening to his words. He sounded so sincere, continuing to speak in a soft tone “I lost the case today. I allowed my feelings to come home from work and it affected you. I’ll never allow myself to slip like that again.”
Turning over to face him he finally saw the extent of your puffy eyes, and saddened expression making his heart almost completely shatter.
“I forgive you Romi.” You whisper.
A weight was completely lifted off his shoulders “do you mind if I get closer?”
Hiromi got the confirmation he needed from you and scooted closer until his arms were wrapped around you. He placed a multitude of soft kisses on your head. Eventually you both calmed down enough to fall asleep tangled in each other’s arms.
Toge was almost about to win his match with his friends. He was about to take the last few shots when you walked into the room after a long night at work. He caught the exhausted look on your face, but continued to focus trying to lead his virtual team to victory. You walked over to him needing his touch after such a draining day, wrapping your arms around his shoulders from behind
“Stop.” He spoke blankly, making you pull back away from him. He never used his cursed speech like that on you before. You could feel your heart almost drop into your stomach as he lifted a finger to signal he was almost done with his match.
“No. It’s fine Toge. Keep playing your games.” You muttered quickly exiting the room he was in slamming the door loudly. Toge was far too focused on what he was doing to even realize how much his words had truly affected you. Once his match was over he walked into the living room, you were nowhere to be seen. He could hear the shower running from the bathroom, figuring you were just cleaning up he began to make dinner.
“Oh. I figured you’d still be playing games.” You remarked as you walked into the kitchen.
Toge shook his head “Bonito flakes.”
You sighed, grabbing your purse “I was going to get dinner out tonight. So don’t worry about making me anything. Give you more time with the boys.”
Toge’s face slightly shifted, he could tell you were highly upset. “Mustard Leaf?” His voice was soft and gentle.
“I’m just fine.” You huffed before leaving the apartment.
Toge sighed feeling like he may have messed up earlier by using his cursed technique on you. It was the first time (outside of the bedroom) that he’d used it on you. You entered the apartment a little later holding a bag of Chinese food. Toge knew you were a little upset because you only bought it when something was bothering you.
“Mustard Leaf?” Toge walked over to you cautiously sitting on the opposite side of the couch.
“Actually I’m not doing okay.” The tears instantly welled up. “You used your cursed technique on me. When I just needed a little bit of your attention.”
Toge looked down feeling horrible that he made you so upset. He quickly typed on his phone
I shouldn’t have done that. I was too focused on the game. Would you like to talk about your day?
You shook your head still feeling a bit upset. Toge typed again faster
Babe. I am really sorry. I can tell you’ve had a hard day. I promise I’ll never do that again.
Reading what he said and seeing the expression on his face made you fold almost instantly. Toge could see your face soften ever so slightly before you spoke
“Toge. I forgive you.” You sighed, glancing down at your food picking at it with your fork.
Please. Tell me about your day. I want to hear everything.
Pondering for a moment, you nodded
“The mission was really hard, I did it. I didn’t get injured. On the way home in the car I managed to start my period, I bled on the seats. It was beyond embarrassing.”
Toge could feel the second hand embarrassment from the story itself, he scooted closer to you placing a hand on your shoulder
“Bonito flakes…” his tone was soft, signaling that it wasn’t an outright refusal of your feelings, but more of an ‘I’m sorry’. Leaning into his touch made you feel slightly better. Toge felt a little better once you did that, moving his arm to wrap around your shoulders.
After you eat, let's cuddle. You deserve it after such a long day.
Toge held his phone up trying to show you that he was there for you. Nodding quickly you glanced over
“I’d love nothing more than that.”
Choso was being dragged left right and center since his awakening about a year ago. Almost non stop action since he breathed his first bit of oxygen. Today he was basically put through the ringer. He found out his other non awakened brothers had been disposed of by the school that imprisoned him for so many years. You didn’t notice the mood shift from him until a few moments later when you went to embrace him as you usually did when he entered the apartment
“I’d rather not be touched.” He mentioned. You instantly pulled back a little surprised.
“Are you okay Choso?” You asked confused.
Choso looked annoyed not answering you before walking into your shared bedroom, closing the door and locking it promptly. Leaving you to wonder what exactly had been going on. Softly knocking on the door you hear his loud voice “Go away!”
He’d never acted that way with you. Catching your breath while stifling a sniffle you wondered why he was so upset. Obeying his command you left the apartment for the rest of the night staying over at a friend's place giving him the space he seemed to so desperately need. Feeling awful you couldn’t soothe him during what appeared to be a heavy charged emotional state. The next morning you arrived home to see that Choso was absolutely a mess. He obviously hadn’t changed his clothes since he arrived home the day prior, face puffy from crying. A blank look coated his face as he was zoned out just glancing at his phone hovering over the call button on your contact.
“Choso?” You whispered in attempts to not startle him.
Choso’s head tilted up his eyes meeting yours. Within a second you were being tightly squeezed in his arms, your sweater catching his tears that were already running down his cheeks.
Choso just shook his head. “They got rid of my brothers.” He let out a large sob before muttering “I thought you left me too.”
You melted at his words “Cho-”
“No. I was being so mean to you yesterday when you were just trying to help. I wouldn’t blame you for leaving. I’m just glad you came back.” He paused, “I can’t bear to lose anyone else important in my life.”
Running your fingers through his hair, attempting to be as soothing as possible for him. “I’ll never leave. I promise. I’m sorry I scared you.”
He just shook his head “I won’t push you away like that ever again.”
You nodded “Do you want to talk about what happened yesterday?”
He shook his head “Will you just hold me for a little longer?”
“Of course Choso.” You softly spoke, guiding him back into your arms.
