Wybie’s fingers tangled with each other as he tried to muster up the will and courage to hand over the small gift in his bag. The girl was really pretty and seemed to embody sunshine. So, he decided to take one of the flowers from his grandmother’s beloved garden (something he’d get yelled at for later) and tied it to a heart structure he fashioned out of scraps of metal from colanders, old car parts, and other various things. “Excuse me, Lola?” He asked softly, awkwardly shifting his feet before pulling out the gift. “This doesn’t have to mean anything, but it’s for you. It’s kind of lame. You could throw it out if you want to, but just don’t let me see.”

connor felt a bit weird considering he’d never really hung out with anyone before -- especially not in a sort of sleep over setting like this. he felt awkward and out of place and it felt like he could get easily irritable. but he had to try to keep it in check. he was doing his best to be a better him since his hospital stay, but he really wasn’t sure how long and how well it was going to go. “normal? see, girls like to say they aren’t the violent ones of the homo sapiens, but they just use fluffy pillows as a way around it and say it’s all fun and games,” he said, putting the pillow down and eyeing the bowl suspiciously. now, he really wasn’t a believer in the face mask bullshit. how could people even tell if they really worked or not, especially visibly? it was beyond him. but, he let out a sigh and relented. “fine, but no taking pictures. i don’t really like avocado, so i better feel like i’ve grown and entirely new face,” he warned, though it wasn’t serious.

Kim Shin sighed as he looked up towards the sky through his shades. He was contemplating letting it rain considering it was just too hot. But he settled with dipping his legs into the pool as he sat on the edge. “How strange would it be if it started to snow right now? Certainly a miracle... a welcome one,” he said, crinkling his nose. “You know what would be good right now? Ice cream, hand made ice cream. Have you ever made ice cream before?”

a frustrated sigh escaped melchior as he looked over the classes and events list for the summer camp. there was nothing remotely interesting to him. or at least he told himself they weren’t interesting because he wasn’t going to fall pray to being brainwashed. “they should at least have a small class that teaches basic sign language -- i could teach it. or maybe something that isn’t making jewelry or painting. i don’t see how either of those have anything to do with camping, but they’re a common theme,” he said, tossing the paper to the side. “what do you think? what would you want to learn about while we’re here.”

“alright, alright,” bill said, pulling out the nifty wand he’d managed to pick up on a visit to england. he’d originally bought it as a gag gift, but it proved to be a lot more useful. “a simple magic trick, you ready?” he ask, picking a piece of paper and tossing it up. while it slowly drifted to the ground, he flicked his wand at it and muttered a few words -- resulting in the paper folding in on itself to become a crane and fly out of the open window of the cabin. “tada! i know, it’s pretty cool. but you can’t go telling everyone, alright?”

as much as wendla looked forward to this whole vacation, she still worried about the usual things -- who would she be paired with, who would be there, and what would they be doing? luckily, she got paired with a girl that seemed nice enough. however, she was beginning to notice they were straying a bit from the trail. she reached out and gently tapped on aria’s shoulder. ‘we’re getting a bit far from camp,’ she signed, pointing in the direction of where she believe the camp to be located to help get her point across.

“What the heck! Where am I? Where’s Riley? This is absolutely unacceptable!” Anger said a bit too loud as his temper started to flair. This was completely against everything they were supposed to do -- be outside. “I bet Sadness has something to do with this -- she probably tried pushing some weird button. Or Panic. He’s always a mess. Ugh, when I find those two, I swear I’ll give them a piece of my mind.”
