Just when you’re drifting aways from the world, if someone nudged you back in the right direction, that would be when the deity chose to visit you.
Goblin (2016)
너와 함께한 모든 시간이 눈부셨다 Every second I spent with you shined. 날이 좋아서 Because the weather was good, 날이 좋지 않아서 because the weather was bad, 날이 적당해서 and because the weather was good enough 모든 날이 좋았다 I loved every moment of it

Euntak was probably in one of the best moods she had been in for the longest time. She had spent probably what some would have considered a ridiculous amount of time sewing her own dress. It was white with a pattern of tiny little cherries all over it. Even though she wasn’t daring enough to make it a bit more revealing, she had designed a cut-out to reveal the small of her back. She was praying that Kim Shin thought she looked as good as she thought she did. The moment she saw him, her eyes lit up and she rushed up to take hold of his hands. “Ahjussi, you look so handsome!” She cooed. “I’m happy that you agreed to come along. You need to stop being so grumpy and sulking about all the time.” She couldn’t help but fuss over the other. “Look at how beautiful this all is! There’s even a photo booth over there! Oh my gosh, we should take a picture together.”
Kim Shin felt a bit out of place in the theming of the dance, but he’d done his best to look like a ‘soc’ as a man of his age could without looking ridiculous. But, the moment he spotted Euntak, all those thoughts went out of the window. Euntak looked stunning. “Me? Ah, yes. I suppose I look alright,” he played off. “I’m not grumpy and sulky all the time,” he retorted with a scrunch of his nose. He was a bit overwhelmed by her excitement, but it was welcome. It was as if she could be his excitement for him. “We’ll take a picture if you promise we’ll dance eventually. You seem to be looking forward to everything but the whole dancing bit. Which is the point you know,” he playfully teased, tapping the girl’s nose.

Jesse found himself chuckling at the other’s comment. “You never know these days. They might get tired and just give up. Isn’t that the millennial way of doing things?” It was meant to be a teasing jab directed at what most older adults thought about his generation. At the mention of potentially not being old enough, Jesse could feel his cheeks heat up. “Actually. Uh… technically no. I’m only nineteen. But the bartender at this place nearby really likes my photography work and asked me to do his wedding shoot a year ago and now offers me free drinks whenever I pop in. No one has ever really questioned it so I wouldn’t worry if I were you.” He offered a shrug. It wasn’t like he was most people his age who carelessly drank to the point of blacking out.
Shin let out a scoff. “It’s not a millennial thing, it’s a young person thing,” he teased back. But, the mention of the other not being old enough to drink had him hesitant. “I feel like I have to worry just a little bit. That man could go to jail, I could go to jail,” he said, mockingly concerned. “But, nothing good ever cam out of being to cautious, so come along or I’m leaving you behind,” he said, nodding in the direction of the potential bar. “It’s this way right? I think I know the guy you’re talking about. He’s pretty lax about everything.”

EUNTAK: i know dances might seem silly to you but...
EUNTAK: i never got the chance to go to prom or anything.
EUNTAK: do you wanna go to this dance with me?
EUNTAK: it's totally okay if you're not interested! i'll just stay home and work on course work or something.
SHIN: dances aren't silly. just the people who go usually are
SHIN: but now i would feel guilty if i said no.

SHIN: you have a dress for it, right?

Jesse was just inspecting his camera over when he suddenly became the victim of the other’s rant. Though he didn’t really mind listening to his problems considering he was quite an empathetic person. A quiet laugh escaped him as he shook his head slightly. “Honestly I would have already lost it if I were in your shoes so you’re in definite need of a reward for holding it together as long as you have.” He teased. Although he wasn’t entirely sure what would be the best route for escapism at this point. The cheapest option, of course, was a few drinks. “Let’s get you a drink and maybe discuss forcing some undedicated students to drop your class.” Another joke.
Kim Shin let out a laugh. He was glad that someone else felt for him and that he wasn’t being dramatic about it. He was still being dramatic, but no one was going to blame him for it. “Thank you. Drink, yes. Forcing them to drop out, less likely to happen. But, a man can dream. Come on, then,” he said motioning for the other to follow him to the closest place he could get drinks. “Wait. Are you even old enough to drink?” He asked playfully suspiciously. The other could very well be of age, but he also looked rather young as well. It had always been hard for him to figure out someone’s actual age on just looks alone.

“at home, we’d always go to the cotswolds,” the small villages with their stone built homes and rolling fields of green grass and lavender were something helga missed terribly about her home. sparkwood was lovely but, it just wasn’t wales. “though, i don’t suppose there’s anything like that here. you could try hawaii? that’s where everyone seems to go,” helga suggested before reaching into her satchel and producing the baked goods wrapped in cling film and handing them over.
Kim Shin reached over and gently took the cookies, unwrapping one before starting to eat. “Hawaii? I’m not sure a tropical getaway will be good for me, especially one as crowded as Hawaii. I’ll look into some quiet little place where i can cozy up and people watch,” he confessed. “Perhaps i’ll go to this Cotswolds of yours. You could even come along if you wanted,” he offered.

listening to the other rant made helga glad her students were of a much younger variety - teaching children meant her biggest problem was either some pulled hair or a grazed knee. “i think you need a little holiday,” she suggested, voice calm in hopes that it would help the mans annoyance. “or at least a break from it all. i can’t make students drop out but, i do have some oatmeal cookies left over from lunch. good enough?”
Kim Shin took a deep breath before releasing. She was right. He couldn’t remember the last time he actually had a holiday. But, holiday’s were stressful in themselves. “Oatmeal cookies will do just fine,” he conceded. “I suppose I could take a break. For how long, though, I’m not sure. I’d love to travel as well, but, again, I don’t know where to. Do you have any suggestions?”

The fact that there was another full moon approaching made Benjamin feel uneasy. The last few months when the moon was hanging brightly in the sky, he had suffered these intense blackouts. One particular night when he woke up covered in blood caused him to do some research, all signs pointing to an unthinkable truth. Just the thought made his skin crawl and he wasn’t entirely sure how to address the problem. He was trying to plot some sort of plan out when he turned to someone nearby, “If I gave you fifty bucks would you be willing to chain me to my bed?” He paused, realizing the implications of the question. “I mean that in the least kinky way possible.”
Kim Shin had heard a lot of strange things in his life time, either towards him or heard between others in passing. But, he’d never heard anyone say something quite like the words that came out of the other’s mouth. He let out a laugh, thinking it a joke. “Do you really expect someone close to normal say yes to that?” He asked, still amused. “I think the people you’re looking for are on those dating apps. Or, craig’s list could work,” he suggested. “Unless you’re trying to set someone up for murder or assault. I see, you’re just trying to trick someone into breaking into your home and tying you up,” he joked, nodding his head knowingly.

Audrey had flinched back slightly at the other’s outburst of emotion. She was about to ask him if he was alright but what she didn’t expect was to hear everything that was on his mind. “ Oh, I’m sorry that all sounds pretty rough. “ the blonde pointed out. He definitely sounded like he could use something and Audrey just so happened to know a great dinner not to far from where they were. “ I know a great diner right down the street. Would you wanna go with me? “ she asked, tipping her to the side.
Shin was just about to start yelling again when he stopped himself. He hadn’t expected the other to just simply go along with his ridiculous and uncalled for tangent. He took a deep breath before letting it out, nodding. “Yes, actually. I would love to go with you. Nothing is sadder than eating alone and I’m an expert on that,” he said. “I’m sorry for snapping at you. I’ve never really had the best way of... expressing myself patiently,” he embarrassingly admitted. He was a grown man, he should have been about to handle himself.
“Honestly, I’m up to here right now!” Kim Shin said, clearly beyond annoyed and frustrated. He didn’t mean to turn on the first person to approach him, but it was all boiling up to point of spilling over. “Between these students who think I’ll just let them fly by without any test of their knowledge, the weather, and my lack of sleep because of some yapping dog near my house, I think I’m about to lose it. No, I am losing it now. So, please tell me that you’re my salvation. I’ll take anything: beer, food, vacation, my students dropping out of my class. Please say you have at least one of these things.”

It was hard to argue with the idea that she thought she needed to change, entirely because there was too much truth to the idea. If she could just be what people wanted, expected even, this would all be so much easier. The thought of dancing just made Karolina go for the bottle again. That’s what had gotten her started on this whole thing anyways, wishing she was out there dancing with a pretty girl. “Alright smart guy, if you’re so sure of my problems and what I should be doing you’re going to have to dance with me.” Better him than a boy who would think she was actually interested. “I hope you’re ready for some of the best dancing you’ve ever seen.” Karolina said, already moving towards the dance floor.
Kim Shin shook his head as he watched her drink from the bottle once more. He felt for her. But, he couldn’t ever let himself wallow in his misery, the town would end up ravaged by storms and practically ruined. He blinked a few times in surprise by her sudden suggestion. “Me?” He questioned, slowly following her. He didn’t go to these functions to dance, really. He went to watch people. “Alright, but don’t get any ideas. You won’t be able to woo me,” he lightly teased, laughing slightly. There was only one person he was interested in and he had failed to find her just yet at the dance.

this wasn’t a robbery then, by some odd circumstances, there was simply a half-naked man in his bathroom. dorian decided then to get up from his bed, trying to find some clothes that weren’t too expensive to lend the mysterious stranger. “it’s an odd place to be lost, a bathroom with only one door,” he pulls down some old trousers and a plain shirt and hopes this guy’s build is not too bulky. “i’m not leaving and doing my thing till 7pm, i plan to sleep till then. i’ve got some clothes if you’d like them? i’d find it hilarious if you decided to go home in a towel but, i think you wouldn’t,” and he carefully opened the door just enough to shove some clothes through. “if they’re too small, do tell me,”
Shin knew it was impossible for someone to get lost inside someone else’s home when they weren’t invited in, but it’s all he could really say. A frustrated sigh escaped him at the revelation that the other wouldn’t be leaving, scrunching his nose of embarrassment at the sight of the clothes. But, he was still thankful that the other would be so generous. He took the clothes and pulled them on, relieved that they just barely fit though the shirt was just a bit too tight. He opened the door slowly and stepped out. “Thank you, really. I promise you wouldn’t believe me if I told you how I got here, but I’ll bring your clothes back to you after I get into my own.”

odd things happened often, dorian had come to realise this. things in london hadn’t been exactly normal either, however, large cities attracted all-sorts of weirdos and it wasn’t uncommon to be on a tube train with someone dressed as a centaur or a man wearing nothing but a g-string on the 2am train home. when strange things happened in places like this (small places, filled with colourful characters and feelings you couldn’t shake) it was doubly-odd. still, when an attractive man in nothing but a towel waltzed into his bedroom, all he could do was grin. “it’s not my birthday till next month,” dorian had no idea where he came from, only that he was liking this scenario. he frowned at the stranger’s confusion though, how he kept opening and closing his door. “are you trying to rob me, or something? you aren’t doing a very good job,”
Shin was glad the other was seemingly taking this well, but he was not. He wasn’t as amused and simply wanted to be back home so he could be properly clothed. “I’m definitely not trying to rob you. I’m sort of got lost, but I’ll be getting out of your hair... somehow,” he said, turning to look around the bathroom. Yeah, there was no way he was going to find a way out this way and he was not going to be walking around Sparkwood with just a towel. “I just need a minute. You can leave and go do your thing,” he said through the door despite how stranged it might have sounded. Maybe if the other wasn’t here, his power would finally work again.

“more for me then.” it still wasn’t any good. she didn’t know a lot about alcohol and what high quality vodka would be but she had a feeling this just wasn’t it. still, there was something pleasant and calming to the burn that made her want to keep the bottle near. karolina raised her eyebrows, before letting out a breathy laugh. “deep seated problems huh?” she paused, taking another drink. it wasn’t like he was on the wrong path, but she wasn’t going to think too deeply on it, force herself to acknowledge why she was here feeling so bad. “do you usually just approach strangers with questions about their issues? maybe i’m just trying to be someone new, have some fun for once.” maybe she new she could never fully be the girl she tried to be, maybe she was just sad, either way, karolina didn’t see why that even mattered right now.
Shin shook his head as he watched her continue to drink. He wasn’t ere to stop her after all. “No, not typically,” he said with a chuckle. “I don’t usually ask anyone about their problems unless they look like they deserve to have someone ask them if they’re okay. You just happen to be one of those people. And people only want to reinvent themselves when they think there’s something wrong with them. But, that’s just me and my opinion,” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. “ If you want to have fun, why don’t you dance with someone? That’s the point of a dance, isn’t it?”
